Better than before!
After reading all the reviews about buying one of these after buying last year‘s version for my older son, I actually like the looks and functionality of this one better than last year. And, all of the talk about losing space doesn’t seem to apply as we’re having no issues loading this backpack up with binders, etc.

Love it
I LOVE this backpack!! It fits so many items and distributes weight well. I also love the color, and that it is so waterproof- has saved me multiple times from the rain. The only thing I would say is that I wish the zipper for the smartphone pocket wasn't so close to the other zippers- sometimes they get tangled in each other or confused- I think they could have combined the back two pockets to have a wider back pocket.
Have only had this for a month or so, and I had my last LL Bean backpack for 10+ years, so I can't attest to this one's longevity yet, but I hope it lasts!

Best backpack!
This is my second backpack in about 10 years. I am hard on the products and both of my LL Bean packs are amazing. This new product is roomier and more compact than my older one. I love it and give it a 10/10!

Too narrow
Why would you make this big backpack so narrow? Kids have binders and there’s no way this bag will be functional if my daughter needs to take home a binder or 2!! She loved the old style but now without any other larger bag options we’re buying else where

Too Small and Narrow
We had the locker backpack last year and it was perfect. This laptop area is only about 1/2 inch wide, not nearly enough space for a school laptop with the cover that the school requires students to keep the laptop in. The middle and front storage areas in the backpack are too narrow to hold binders. Bring back the old locker backpack!

I really couldnt think of anything negative to say about the backpack. ive had it for about 2 weeks now and its perfect for my needs. honestly it really is a HUGE bag.
There are so many slots and pockets for organization which is perfect for staying organized! if youre a nurse or commuter who needs to have extra clothes, lunch, books and laptop this would be the perfect bag for you or just travel in general!
