Winter gloves
The gloves were very nice but sizing issues. I bought them for my husband and got him a XXLarge. The fingers were so long that we had to take them back. We tried to exchange for an extra large but the hand fit was too tight. Haven’t had that issue before.

Lightweight, and squish down nicely!
It didn't rain while I was out with these, so I can't attest to the waterproof quality. They are light, easy to squish into a pocket, and worked fine protecting me from wind.

Great quality but not for small hands!
I had to order these in 3 different sizes because they were so big. I’m usually a women’s medium and with these I’m an extra small. So if you have really small hands, these probably aren’t going to fit you. These lean more toward men’s sizes than unisex. However, I wore these shoveling snow and my hands started sweating so I’d say they do what they’re supposed to. Also very soft and plush inside.

not as warm as I hoped
I was looking for gloves to keep my hands dry and warm while out walking with the dogs. These gloves are good for keeping dry but sadly not really warm. After 20 minutes outside at 28 degrees, my fingers were very cold. I appreciate the dexterity of the gloves but when it comes to warmth, they are no match to mittens once the temp is below 30.

Did not keep fingers warm
I purchased these for outdoor work in the cold. At 35 degrees, my fingers got cold quickly. Disappointing. My thinly lined leather gloves work as well but are more flexible and less slippery. I ended up not using these very much.

Warm but overall fit is poor
I searched for women's gloves and these came up as suitable - BUT they are standardized for an adult man - for example, the fingers are a good inch too long. I bought them to keep my fingers warm on our morning walks, and they are good for warmth. But I can't keep them on when I'm picking up dog poo, so they aren't exactly perfect for my needs

these don't keep my fingers warm given the $
For whatever reason, these gloves to do not keep the tips of my fingers warm, and I am usually not someone who gets cold easily. I have tried them both last winter and now and really, I have to take a break from snow blowing or shoveling because they don't keep my hand and especially my finger tips warm. I expected LL Bean gloves to be the best.

The gloves are very nice .. I ordered them for my wife for Christmas….however considering how conscious L L Bean is with quality control I was surprised that there was a permanent smudge or dark flaw under the opaque outer shell on the back of one glove. I just felt they did not meet their normal outstanding quality expectations.

Good for small bouts In cold weather
I bought these gloves several years ago when I misplaced my utility gloves. I used them with satisfaction for snow blowing. They work well for this purpose, although I will note that on the coldest days I only remain outside for brief periods of time.
I have just started taking longer walks in winter with my dog. After 20 minutes in 15 degree temperature, my fingers begin to get cold. My old double-layered LL Bean ragg gloves are warmer although not water proof.
I would recommend a warmth rating system for your mittens snd gloves like your coat rating system.
