Our iconic Boat and Tote turns 80 this year! To celebrate, we're introducing this special-edition Boat and Tote crossbody bag--a new twist on an old favorite. Made in Maine using the same heavyweight canvas as the original, with the same extra-durable construction details and a handy removable shoulder strap. What a spacious crossbody tote!
I have Boat and Totes in every size and shape and I always wanted a crossbody Boat and Tote that I could carry as a purse. Finally! Thank you, LLBean! What a great tote: it has a removable crossbody strap, the zipper is sturdy and easy to use, and the tote itself is of notable quality and is spacious inside. I can fit a travel umbrella, my large wallet, a makeup bag, sunglasses case, and more. It is smaller than the regular Small Boat and Tote but perhaps only by an inch or two. I bought the tote in black and love it. I think this tote should be offered in more colors for those of us who tend to need lots of totes! Great bag! You will love it!

I love this bag! It is nice enough for meetings and sturdy enough for the trail. It stays upright, so it is easy to load notebooks and water bottles. The inside zipper pocket is very handy, too.

Love this purse!
I love this purse! It’s very structured which I like because then you can find things in it better. I’m able to fit my wallet, a tiny cosmetic bag, and whatever other purse essentials I need with room for my Yeti when I need it. I’ve found myself using it both crossbody and with just the handles. It’s also easy to clean. Don’t stop making this bag!

Due to losing my visa card it did not come but with a new one very soon. My other two are fantastic. One is used for a purse and the other is used from counted cross stitch things. The cat knows it is time to sit on my lap on the front porch after her blanket is on my lap from the bag.

Go everywhere purse
I always carry a water bottle with me which ties up one hand. This purse allows me to pop it in without making it too heavy. I hate heavy purses and carry very little with me. No bulky wallet, no make up! Just a slim credit/debit card wallet, a small leather purse with pills, a pen and tiny note book. When I go out, if I pick up something, there’s plenty of room to stash a small purchase still leaving me hands free. Perfect!

Love this bag!
I love all of my Boat and Tote bags and often wished they had a crossbody strap. So when I saw this, I could not order it fast enough! It’s the perfect size to hold everything I need for the day (including a water bottle and my Kindle) and the strap makes it comfortable to carry.

I use this tote as a purse, it’s the perfect size. I absolutely love that it can be worn crossbody (the strap is adjustable) and that there is a zippered pocket on the inside. This was the exact bag I needed. It can hold my essentials as well as my book and my water bottle. The biggest thing was the crossbody strap if I want to carry it longer. It’s made of such sturdy canvas and looks great. Would HIGHLY recommend it!
