Nice quality shirt
The fabric has a nice heft to it and the detail on the v-neck is well made. I ordered a regular, XL and the sleeves are very long. I should have ordered a petite but thought maybe the length would be too short. I'm hoping the sleeves shrink up a bit after washing.

Great fitting and good with jeans
Love this top. It's roomy and doesn't fit tight to the body, which is HUGE for me since I hate fitted tops.It falls the perfect length on my short-waisted body and the material is soft. Also washes well. I ordered the large (12) red, so it works well with jeans.

I love these shirts. These are the nicest t-shirts. I love the V-neck. Reminds me of when ll bean had their V-neck cashmere sweaters. I have one of these v-neck henleys in every color. Would love to see these shirts in a bright yellow. Orange, bright Red or a pretty shade of green.

Major shrinking and fit is very boxy
I washed it in cold water and hung it to dry. It shrunk significantly. I’ve noticed the same thing happening with LL Bean turtlenecks lately and I cannot raise my arms when I wear them without flashing my torso. No chance of tucking them in. So disappointed with LLBean shirts now.

If it wasn't for the label, I wouldn't think these shirts are L.L. Bean. Sizing is a little tight, missing the cotton knit quality so it's missing the usual softness. Good for laying but not so much to be worn alone.

I bought two of these shirts and tried them on before washing them. They fit great, even a little big. After washing them in cold water the sleeves are shorter and the length also shorter.

Material is heavy and cut is awkward.
This fabric is thicker than I was looking for, and although it had stretch it was kind of stiff and did not soften with washing. That was made more obvious by the cut...I couldn't lift my arms without the whole shirt riding up as well. Once the whole body of the shirt rode up it wouldn't glide back down and I was constantly tugging the hem back into place. I found it awkward and uncomfortable to wear. Without those two things, the quality was okay, but I found it too annoying to be tugging on it all the time. I have long sleeve shirts that don't do this but I don't know what makes or keeps it from happening. This obviously had the makes it happen factor.

Beware of Shrinking
I love the look and fabric of this top. Unfortunately, it does shrink. I don't know why they would recommend machine washing and drying. I washed and hung the shirt to dry, as I normally don't dry anything in the dryer. It still shrunk about an inch on the bottom. I know this as I have two of these tops, one of which hasn't yet been washed. I loved the original length, but now the one top is hitting me at the fullest part of the hip, which is not flattering.

Nice style but could be improved
I really like open-neck tops but I think the neckline on this one is just a bit too wide. Also, I wish LL Bean would make sleeves in the XL sizes a little looser. I buy several styles of the regular cotton and pima cotton tops and the sleeves are always quite tight, especially after they have been washed.
