My son has had a mixed experience with these boots.
Pros: 1) Easy to get on (but he had to size up, so the boots are big on him); 2) No laces to deal with and easy to cinch up; 3) Comfortable enough to wear and play in for hours; 4) Easy to walk in; and 5) Good grip on the bottom.
Cons: 1) The boots don't come in half sizes, so we had to size up and then deal with boots that are big; and 2) They get wet easily and stay wet for a long time (even when left out to dry overnight in our mudroom). This is a big problem for snow boots at any price point, especially at this point from a brand known for quality. For that reason, I do not recommend these boots, unless you can dry them easily.

Don’t recommend
Really disappointed with these boots - really hard to get on and she had totally wet feet at the end of snow play time. Usually love LL Bean, but these are just not high quality.

Love the style but too hard to put on
We loved the style of these boots for our 4 year old son, and the traction seemed great. They seem like a cross between a sneaker and a boot and once they are on, they seemed comfortable. The challenge of getting them on wasn’t worth it for us though so we ended up returning. You can’t really loosen the strap, and the opening is very narrow. Maybe they get easier over time.

Can't get them on either of our boys.
Impossible to get on. Lace design won't ever let the boots loosen enough to get a foot into. Have two pairs in different sizes and neither are wearable at all. Waste of money.

Can’t get them on.
Laces are too short to expand and allow kids foot inside. Opening is too narrow. No chance kid can put these on without an adult. Couldn’t get them on with an adult. Purchased a 10 & 11 and neither worked.

Hard to put on...
Loved these boots, but my daughter couldn't get her foot in the opening and so even though they were the correct size (we ordered other cozy boots in the same size), we couldn't get them on.
