Classic For a Reason
About 20 years ago, I bought my husband a pair of these boots and he wore them frequently for two decades until finally they started to wear out. He loved them so I just bought him a new version of the same thing. He loves the new ones right away as well! Actually, he's wearing both pairs alternately for a little while since it is hard to say goodbye to the old ones. Thank you L.L. Bean!

Bean boots are best
Made by hand, in America, for over 100 years – that’s quality! I am a size 10 shoe, so I followed the advice of L.L. and purchased a size 9 – it is the correct thing to do. Wear thick socks and you are good to go ! This is actually my second pair. The first pair were going strong (for 30 years 🥰) … then they were stolen from the back of my truck 😬. So, needed a new pair. Without hesitation, I ordered the new pair! Extremely satisfied with this product. (When I marked ‘True to size’ below, I do mean buy them a size smaller than your shoe size.)

Hand-down 2nd life
These boots were worn heavily in the 80s and 90s then went dormant for 15 years or so until I picked them up for soggy ground use. Leakproof and enough sole to get by, may one day need repairs but 40 years of stories to tell. They feel great and fill a very specific use category. Well built and not disappointed.

Upgrade on a boot that was already great!
I’ve been wearing Bean Boots for over 40 years. My grandpa wore them, so did my dad, and I do too. I heard about a few improvements in the Bean Boots and it made me curious to buy a new pair. The leather is thick and soft, it feels like I have had these boots for years. The new insole makes the boot more comfortable and wearing them the whole day, it gives me the support much needed to be comfortable in them. The boot laces seem to be stronger as well. Congrats, you guys overdid yourselves!

The Only Footwear I Use For Work
I have worked on golf courses for the past 45 years in the area of maintenance and Bean Boots have been the only footwear I have worn. From wet dewy mornings to torrential downpours, I can count on my Bean Boots to keep my feet dry and comfortable.

Tight boots
I purchased these Bean boots for my husband and was told to go down in size. They are too tight and he has been trying to stretch . We no longer have receipt so we have to keep them. Be very careful in choosing your size

The stitching on the inside is so uncomfortable.
I purchased a pair of 8 inch bean duck boots. I recently received them. Beautiful boots ,but the rough stitching on the inside of these boots are killing my ball joints… omg. Trying to convince myself that they need to be broken in but I don’t see how that’s going to help the glue around the rough stitching is coming loose so all those raw pieces of leather are rubbing against my joint. I tried wearing them twice but I can’t …they’re killing my feet. Maybe I got a bad pair? SMH.

The Ultimate Maine Trekking Boot.
Have worn these like an old air of jeans. When I first got mine I dipped them into the Atlantic in Camden to help them dry and mold to my feet - when I needed to replace my bottoms Bean gave me back my original boots that looked brand new. Thanks, LL, thanks Freeport - 55v year customer, rbm

Classic design. Often imitated, never duplicated.
I've owned at least six pairs over my lifetime. Great for wet, muddy weather. They hold up well. My last pair was worn over 100 times walking the dog through the woods at approximately four miles per time. That's over 1,000,000 flexes for the rubber bottoms. They were approximately 1/2 worn out and began to separate at the rubber/leather joint. I am having them resoled.

Seem like decent year-round boots so far
Seems waterproof so far — we had a nasty snow/rain storm and I was shoveling in about an inch or more of water. These held up nicely, hoping to get many years of use! I got the uninsulated ones for year-round use and I was a bit worried they wouldn’t be warm enough in winter, but even in 20 degree weather and normal socks they are solid. As long as they hold up the way Bean Boots should, I’ll be very happy.

AMERICAN MADE GOODNESS !
I have been wanting a pair of BEAN BOOTS for a while and finally pulled the trigger on the 8" uninsulated boot . I normally wear a size 12 but in this boot I ordered a size 11 per the recomendations from the folks at L.L. BEAN . I am using a thick sock and this boot fits like a glove . I still have about an inch and a half in the toe area and the standard width is adequate . This boot is comfortable right out of the box and I can see it's going to break in nicely . Quality is superb and this boot exudes fine craftsmanship . The leather smells like a saddle shop and is beautiful . Suffice it to say I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to using these boots for years to come .
