Stretchy cotton, runs big.
Runs big, very long in the body and I’m 6’ 4. Nice but I am afraid it is one is those cotton sweaters that stretches out with wear. Disappointed. C’mon Bean, you used to be so much better.

Sizes are inaccurate
Fits very small. I even ordered one size up and “tall”. Still way too small to even fit. Laughable that a brand like LL Bean would be so far from standard sizes.

Too long
The sweater was fine in every way, except that it was too long. I have bought many shirts and sweaters from LL Bean and it is the first toime I have experienced a size problem.

Not my favorite
The sweater is comfortable but the cuffs are loose as is the entire sweater. The color is nice and the texture feels good. Hoping after washing it will fit better.

Fits just right

Read the Reviews BEFORE You Buy
I bought 2 of these sweaters. They just arrived today. The bad up front: like other reviewers stated there is no elasticity in the waist band or sleeve cuffs. If your forearms are massive or you are wearing the sweater over a long sleeve shirt then maybe they'll stay put but otherwise I can pull both sleeves with cuffs past my elbows without resistance and they just slide right back down. With that said, I rolled the cuffs back a couple times and then pulled them back up my arms past my elbow and that may work. As for the waist band it'll have to do although one could understand the reviews of it being boxy or bag-like.
The good: the colors are great, it's mid-weight so not heavy or light, and the material seems nice as well. I did not find the sleeves to be too long and found the XL sleeve length perfect for me at 6'1".
The sweater had potential to be excellent but fell short in the sleeve cuffs and waist band.

Sleeves are far too long!
The sleeves are far too long! They bunch up at the wrist forcing you too push the cuffs up to your forearms. You can even see it in the pictures of the models on this site. A definite Do Not Buy for me!

Don’t waste this sweater in just the men!
Love, love, love this sweater! It was perfect to wear in the last cool days of a Virginia spring. A men’s small fit me well, like a tunic. Worn with leggings no one would ever know it was not a woman’s sweater. And the faded purple color is gorgeous. It will be a favorite for years to come for it’s versatility, comfort and color.

Shapeless cotton bag after an hour of wearing
Big fan of LLBean, but this sweater was a disappointment. Looks great for about an hour out of the dryer, but then it just turns into a cotton bag, with no structure. I was amused to read another buyer complain about the poor quality of elastic in cuffs and lower body ... Mine never had any as far as I can tell. I know this 'bag' look is a style, but not for me.

Elastic at Bottom and Cuffs very poor quality
I wasn’t overly impressed when I received this as the material has a very rough feel. I washed it before wearing it and the bottom band and sleeve cuffs looked like the sweater was years old and all stretched out. The elasticity was all but gone. I returned it.

Both were mediums.
My first purchase was a blue medium sweater. It was larger than expected. Even after washing it in hot water it was still larger than I like. Then I ordered the light blue medium. It fit perfect. I laid them on top of each other and the light blue was 2 inches smaller in the sleeves and 2 inches longer in length. Both were mediums.
