I bought these socks for hiking in Big Bend National Park in April when the temperatures were between 85 and 95. We hiked between five and seven miles daily for five days. The socks were comfortable and did not cause my feet to become too hot.

Nice colours, not well made
I bought the purple color and I liked them before I wore them. If you turn them inside out there are dozens of ugly seams with loose yarns. I was not impressed that this was LL Bean quality.

Too Small
Socks are heavy enough and warm. Problem is that I wear a 10i 1/2 or 11 shoes. I bought the "large" sock based on the guide provided. They are too tight. Will be returning them for XL.
