Too long
I was disappointed with this sweater. It didn’t feel that soft to me, and it was way too long - halfway down my thigh. If this was a petite, I can’t imagine how long a regular would be. I returned it.

Cashmere? Doesn't Feel Like It
I have had (and currently have) many cashmere sweaters over the past 40+ years. Never have I felt cashmere as scratchy as this sweater. Even a few cheap cashmere sweaters I've bought at outlet stores felt silky smooth to my skin. Definitely a big disappointment; especially as I usually like everything I purchase from LL Bean.

Disappointed in the drop shoulder. The drop shoulder is not mentioned in the description.
I agree with another review that the drop is not a classic. I would have ordered more sweaters but not with the drop shoulder. LL Bean should embrace it’s place in dependable classic clothing. Why mess with what has brought you success?

These are fantastic t-necks. I own them in every color that they come in. The only problem is that you folks NEVER carry them in any of the new colors. This year we missed out on Darkest Green and Dark Purple. Too Bad. :(

Please bring back the classic LLBean style
I was ready to purchase in several colors until I realized the dreaded dropped shoulder seams. Dropped shoulders are not classic! Dropped shoulders are not flattering. I have purchased less and less from LLBean as the cashmere quality has dropped in the last few years and now the classic styling is gone, too. Please bring back your classic styles and quality of past cashmere.

Even with Petite Size: HIGH FRUMP Factor
I thought I'd love this. Sigh. Not so much. Even the petite is just too long and the length makes it HIGH FRUMP alert. A turtleneck is already veering into Frump/Not a Frump? questionable territory, so when the turtleneck is also too long and not a flattering cut, well, Full Frump Alert. Not sure what about this cut and length qualified as petite. With the right cut, I'd be all over it. Instead, I'm all over sending it back. LL Bean buyers - think about this when selecting petite sizing, please.

Not good quality for the price
I was quite disappointed in this sweater. One expects cashmere to be ultra soft. This was not. And for what it turned out to be, it was very expensive. Nor did it fit as expected. The turtleneck was too high (just too much material there), while the sleeves were not quite long enough. I sent it back and ordered a cashmere sweater from one of LL Bean's main competitors -- which was less expensive and turned out to be softer and better fitting. Too bad LL Bean isn't making their clothing in the U.S. anymore. It ALL used to be of uniformly good quality. That's just not the case anymore.

Too wide around the bottom.
Bought it for my elderly mom. She’s 4’8” tall. The sweater was wide at the bottom and because of her hunched upper back flared out in back. I’ve purchased similar sweaters for her in the past. They fit snuggly around the bottom which looked much nicer on her.

I Wanted to Love This Turtleneck
Yes, I did want to love this item, but alas, let me tell you why I can't.
1. While I am a Large in all items I purchase from Bean, this turtleneck is too big and loose on me. The drop sleeves are also not very flattering.
2. I purchased the honey brown, but the color is uneven and speckled in various areas.
3. The sweater is itchy, so if this is a sensitivity of yours, best to avoid this item.
I will be exchanging this turtleneck for a size Medium only because I really need it, and it is warm and soft. Yes, it itches but I will grin and bear it until I get used to it or just offer the itch up as a mortification.

Incomprehensible sizing difference
I bought two of these - in the blue and in the gray. I unboxed the blue first, wore it, loved it, and threw out the packaging. A couple of weeks later, I pulled on the gray and looked like I was wearing my husband’s sweater. It is easily four inches longer than the blue and looks too ridiculous on me for me to wear to work. And since I threw out the packaging, I have no way of returning the gray - which is a really expensive throw-away. That should be better standards for something in this price range.

Basic warm cashmere
Good, basic cashmere turtleneck, soft enough to wear next to skin. Just the right weight, heavy enough to be warm with just one more layer. I normally wear a small, but the small was too big, so I returned it for an extra small, which fits perfectly.
