Does not stretch
My husband bought these for me gir Christmas and I am sorry to say the inside fleece does not stretch. They are difficult to put on and inside and outside material do not work together.

Unable to put on - does not stretch
Very disappointed in these - they are extremely cozy, but cannot even get them on. As other reviews have mentioned, the inside does not stretch; I wear a men's 15 so am used to ill-fitting garments, but even my 8.5 sized-foot wife cannot properly get these on. I love LL Bean but these are very poorly designed.

Look cozy but the fleece lining doesn’t stretch!
I bought (Medium, fits women’s size 6-10 allegedly) these a week ago for a friend’s gift. She tried them on while I was there and I saw her (women’s size 7) having trouble putting on the sock at all and took a look, and had the same issue (women’s size 9). The issue is the fleece—it has no give/stretch, so at a certain point it is anatomically impossible to squeeze it through. Disappointing because the outer layer looked *so* comfortable. (Also I don’t know how the other reviewers with 5 stars got these on—it reminded me of a finger trap and I couldn’t get it in beyond the arch of my foot.)

Best Slipper Socks Ever!
A friend gave me some fleeced-lined house/slipper socks about a decade ago. They lasted for quite a while, and I really missed them when they wore out. Another friend got a pair of fleece-lined socks for me about three years ago, but they didn’t last as well. Hence, this year, I decided to find some for myself since I missed having warm house socks to wear last year on cold winter days. After searching on several websites, I spotted LL Bean’s Wicked Cozy Socks. The name almost turned me off, but since I was buying other things for family members for Christmas and needed one more thing to get over the free shipping amount, I decided to buy them. Wow! I am glad that I did. These socks are GREAT! I like them even better than the other pair I had. I got the dark green ones and love the color, though I am sure I would have been happy with the black or gray ones too. They aren’t at all tight, but they don’t fall down either. The grippers do an excellent job of preventing sliding around, but they don’t create too much suction either. I wash them in warm water—turning them wrong side out—and dry them in the dryer on normal setting. They come out great—no shrinkage. There are definitely the best slipper socks I have ever had!

I love warm, cozy socks and was super excited to see these in the store. I don't know if they come in different sizes, as my store only had medium which normally works. They were tight, and the fleece was only attached at the heel. The grips on the bottom held well, but my feet slid around on the inside.
