Fantastic Fit

I like the look and the zipped pockets. The jacket was the correct color, the sizing was correct and it is very comfortable. However when the temperature is in the teens Fahrenheitit is not warm enough.

Nice jacket not bulkie but still warm enough for running errands in cold Maine weather. Fits true to size- ordered small and I’m 5’3” 115 lbs. only complaint is cuffs are not as tight as I like. Would definitely still recommend!

close to perfect
I love this jacket. I like the curved hem which makes it easy to get things out of my pockets. It really is windproof and waterproof. I have put that to the test multiple times since I got it. When it first arrived I worried that it wouldn't be warm enough, but it is. It has been close to perfect for the damp, windy, coastal environment that I live in.

Very disappointed
I bought this thinking it would be fully insulated. I was wrong as the arms of the jacket hardly had anything there. For the money I paid it is not worth it. They have certainly cheapened their product. I will be returning this and have bought another from another source for a fraction of LL Beans price and totally insult.

Said it was best for cold weather conditions and waterproof and it was neither. Wore it in 20 degree snowy weather for a 5 min walk and was cold and wet when I got to where I was going. I returned it and bought a jacket from somewhere else.

Great for English weather
I bought this for a trip to England in late October - cold, blustery, rainy weather. It kept me warm and dry. Now it gets to take me through a Virginia winter. The hood easily pulls up, and folds back into a zippered pouch behind the collar when a warmer knit hat is needed.

Versatile Jacket
Have worn this several times. Sized up for layering. Color autumn is perfect! For my own personal taste, would like to see the collar a couple of inches higher without being too close to the face for those windy days.
Haven't checked out the waterproofing yet.
A side note-I use one of the pockets for a 16 oz water bottle. Have been looking for an over the shoulder water bottle carrier.

Easy jacket to pop on
I like: the fact that it's shorter but has a drop tail. I like the zipper pockets, especially the inside one, also, the jacket seems pretty windproof and water rolls right off, and it’s easy to slide on and off over something fuzzy.
I dislike: the dopey uninsulated hood (it is supposed to roll up into the collar), the giant stiff collar that will NOT lie flat when unzipped; it stick up, pokes me in the cheek and makes it hard to see the ground when I’m looking down to see where I’m going,. (Which I have to do since I’m clumsy and can trip over pretty much anything.) I really have to keep it zipped to the top of the throat all the time which is annoying. Could you do a snap or a little button here, LL Bean?
That makes it a four.

Always perfect.
I have always loved your products and my first was actually from your store from Maine on a trip there. Then came a jacket and another jacket. The second was due to my 45 pound weight loss. My only regret is that I didn't order the blue! Why didn't I? The jacket quality is wonderful as always. I've never seen anything from LLBean that wasn't top quality.

Description
my biggest issue with the purchase is an accurate description. In the store, the description on the jacket is water resistance and on the website it is waterproof. When I questioned the inaccuracy in the details, the store was unable to come up with a good answer. Shouldn't the description for the same product be the same. This was frustrating.

This is such a beautiful jacket. It is soft and light weight yet still waterproof. It is an updated addition to my many L.L. Bean coats and parkas. I only wish that L.L. Bean sold a winter hat that would match the Steel Blue color. I think I may have found one at Turtlefur.
