Thin but versatile!
I wasn't sure I was going to like this at first. Even knowing it was, "Airlight", it is much thinner than I anticipated. Much less a jacket and more an over shirt at best, light is readily visible through fabric when held against a source. Grossly overpriced for what it is. But I did ended up liking it as a quick, lazy layer and wear it often.

Too thin
Very attractive and fit well, but fabric was very thin and not what I needed for cold weather. Returned it, and bought regular fleece instead.

Wicked Wonderful
This jacket is wicked wonderful. My husband needed a very light weight but warm jacket and this is perfect. It's already become his favorite. We got the grey as the colors were more 'uniform' without a sharp contrast to the trim.

Airlight Knit Full Zip Men's Tall
I'm not sure what to call this... a shirt-jac, maybe? I really like it but the key word here is "light". It's not going to be effective in cold weather except as a layer. Best use, I'd say, is in cool weather. It weighs next to nothing so it would be a great pack-along. LL quality is, as always, top notch.

Perfect jacket
Note: I am a 5'7" 138 lb woman who ordered a Men's Medium because the colors of the men's jackets are soooo much nicer than the colors of the women's ones. The sleeves are a bit long on me, but the fit is otherwise fine.
I love this jacket. It has just the right amount of warmth, and it weighs nothing when I stuff it in my backpack. I recently took it on a 10-day camping trip, and I wore it more than any other garment I had with me. I can layer both under and over it, or wear it by itself. It also looks good enough to wear around town.

Lovely jacket for layering
Bought the jacket for a two-week trip to England in the fall. Wore it every day as the temperatures required layers. This was perfect for the job.

A mixture of satisfied and unhappy....
I've bought dozens of LL Bean clothing items over time. I bought the women's version of this shirt a couple of years ago. The sleeve and body length were both ridiculously short even on my short torso, 5'8" frame. However I liked the material and style so decided to try the men's version which does solve the length issues. It seems the men's version has only 4 snaps on it instead of 5, and it definitely makes the garment look cheaper and folds/adjusts much more awkwardly, while gapping open more than I'd like.

Happy purchase!
A think jacket that I can put it on when I feel a little cold in the morning or evening around 50-60F. Perfect one layer that makes me comfortable. Color is darker than I expected, but that’s ok. The chest pocket is zippered, which is nice. If they had zippers on two side pockets, that may be nicer. Overall I love it.

Not true to size
Nice looking but too large & wide.It should also have a draw string in the bottom seam to keep the wind out.

Perfect stylish layer!
Doing some back to school shopping for my kids and i spotted these colorful jackets and headed right towards them. Kids immediately loved the color options, the light material, the softness, the HOODS, and all the little details. Winner! My 9yo daughter picked her favorite and my son did as well. Seeing their happiness with their selections i wondered over to the adult area and found myself an Airlight, maybe a tad more mature in color lol!

LL Bean can do better
The chest pocket for your cell phone is poorly designed. Too small and the corner of the pocket peaks out from behind the zipper if you don't zip it all the way up.

A Good Jacket that Could Have been Better
This is a good jacket when it is slightly cool and you need to take off the chill. However the jacket could be much better if they could add functionality by adding ZIPPERED hand pockets. The hand pockets have no zippers and items such as expensive cell phones, car keys, fall out of the pockets, and things go a missing.
There is a zippered chest pocket but it is so small, it is useless and one cant fit anything in there except for a package of chewing gum, or maybe a public transit pass card.
It interesting to note that the women's version of this jacket DOES have zippered hand pockets. It is sad and quite an oversight that the LL Bean designers decided to short cut the men's version of this jacket. Why?
Please correct this design oversight in the men's jacket and add zippered handpockets, please.

Disappointed
I have been a big fan on L.L.Bean, but I cannot say the same anymore. I liked previous designs and quality of the fleece. The one neither fits well not a good quality. I hope they bring back those good ones.

Great looking jacket didn’t live up to expectation
Bought for my son-in-law. The garment is fantastic re design, material, and weight. The way it fit especially at waist neither comfortable or fattening. SIL tall and slim.

Nice jacket for warm weather but with some flaws.
This jacket is indeed very light and keeps me warm in rooms with the air conditioner blowing too cold. I sure miss my previous home with geothermal air and totally quiet! My only complaints are the lack of summer colors, I settled for putty which is very blah but not too dark. I love the inside pockets The only problem is when putting on the left sleeve I often end up in the pocket instead.
