Our heaviest-weight flannel shirt in handsome stripes, now available in Slightly Fitted. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. The colors in this shirt are fabuloso! Much prettier in person- picture doesn't do the shirt enough justice. The golden tan is such a handsome color- I can't wait to give this to him for Christmas! I keep buying these men's flannel shirts because of Quality, but also the captivating colors! No other brand has the colors that LL Bean has... for me, the colors are critical- I prefer these unique earthy tones that only this company offers. And the stripes are a refreshing change from the plaids- just something different.

Slightly Fitted is the way to go!
So worth the money, but even better at the sale price. 6’2” 175 lbs. I usually buy tops in Large but if there is an option for a Slightly Fitted Large (like this shirt), I buy it. The shirt is thick, soft, and fits good. It’s not too long, but I feel like it runs slightly long. I even hesitate to say that because it is not too long. I really like it and have received several compliments from people that don’t normally compliment on people’s clothing. A couple weeks after I purchased it, I tried on the Large Traditional fit at an L.L. Bean store and it was huge. If you don’t like or need the extra room go with the Slightly Fitted.

Awesome shirt
This is the second time I bought this shirt. I bought the traditional fit several months previously and it fit like a tent, so I sent it back. I didn’t realize it also came “slightly fitted” until I accidentally came across it while looking at sale items. So I gave it another shot. I think the slightly fitted large cut fits my 5’10” 190 lbs frame perfectly. I love the blue/maroon strip color as well as the heavy chamois fabric. I’m very pleased with this purchase. Try it, I hope you’ll like it too.

Blue Multi is lovely but BIG - VERY soft
Love the shirt and have received several compliments. It's the softest shirt I own. I ordered a large and had to check to make sure that's what I received. The length feels like a Long. The sleeve length is great but it doesn't feel tapered at all.

Very long shirt
I sometimes wear a medium and sometimes wear a medium tall in LL Bean shirts. I started with a medium tall and it literally almost came down to my knees. This was exchanged for a regular medium and it wasn't quite as long but the sides came down past my hands when hanging at my side. Seems like a nice shirt just wish it wasn’t so long. Unfortunately returning them.
