Just Right Puffer
Just got this and have worn it a few times and so far I really like it. It’s definitely not a super warm puffy coat but with another layer like a sweater or sweatshirt, it’s just right. Fits well and the length is just right for me because I like to keep my backside covered. Nice pockets, zipper and attached hood. I bought an XL and the fit is just right. Might have been able to get a L, but I like a little room to move.

An excellent value
I chose the right jacket after thoroughly checking similar products at Bean and elsewhere. It's perfect for temperatures in the 30's and 40's and with a warm sweater even lower. I love the way the collar and hood work together so neither gets in the way. The 2-way zipper is great in the car and when I want to get something from a pants pocket. The body and sleeve lengths are ample, but not too long. The sizing is consistent with other Bean outdoor wear. I order a large in sweaters, but need the XL for jackets. The pockets are great, reaching nearly to the bottom of the jacket and I don't miss the zippers a bit as they often scratch the back of my hand. Add to that the very reasonable price and you have a winner.

It's okay for what it is
The material is thin and the jacket feels flimsy, but it is surprisingly warm. The light weight though should be good for travel as it rolls up well and fits in a carry on. It runs a bit small, I recommend sizing up, especially if you have a chest. Overpriced for what it is.

Great Fit
This coat fits great. It is nice to see that LL Bean actually made a coat for petite women. Most will just cut off the bottom. I find that when they do, the pockets are too low and the coat hangs differently. The waste is appropriate for a petite woman as well.

Great coat for mid temp winter days
Good length, light weight coat, fits true to size. In the northeast winter I will get good use when on warmer winter days and colder days where I can layer under and when I’m not outside alot. I like the length of the coat and the fit, not bully.

The coat to rule them all
I live in a four season climate at 3000 elevation and ride my horse outside and play pickleball through all seasons. This is the coat to own when you don’t want to overheat but have the ability to layer underneath. It also vents from the two way zipper. Medium insulation with light seams at the wrists. Pockets deep enough to be useful. Not fancy but the coat I use most often. Soft to the touch and okay for very light rain or snow. The one I grab when I’m out the door over many more expensive coats. A must own.

I love this coat!
I love this coat! I originally ordered it for the color and the permaloft (no down for me!) but I really love the perfect sizing and the lightweight toasty warmth. I ordered a size PS and it fits perfectly. The zipper zips smoothly, the pockets hold gloves well, and the hood stays on. This is a great coat!

Love!!
I rarely post reviews but I had to come rave about this...coat? jacket? It's kind of in-between. I bought it about a month ago, just before a weekend trip to NYC in the fall. It was perfect for the trip (easily packable), and I've also been wearing it daily and for my frequent long walks. It is flattering, SUPER lightweight, and just warm enough. It is very minimalist - no interior pockets, no strings to cinch the hood, etc. which helps keep it lightweight. But it is so incredibly comfortable and not bulky - it's probably my favorite item of clothing I've purchased in years. The sleeves are a perfect length, i can pull them down to partially cover my hands if needed, but they also stay up over my hands easily too. I'm not sure if it will be enough when it gets REALLY cold and spending more than a few minutes outside, but there is room for layering under and it's perfect for daily wear in the cooler months. I'm a M/L in tops as I am busty, and the L is perfect. I can wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath it comfortably.

My go to jacket.
This replaces a coat I bought about 10 years ago. It is light weight and warm for 40 degrees and above. Runs a little large so I can put sweater or sweatshirt under. You can tie it around your waist when shopping inside a mall it’s so light.

LOVE, but could be improved
This is a great lightweight and stylish jacket for cool weather. I haven't worn it in very low (sub 30) temps yet, but it will layer easily with my bulkier Winter coat if needed. I would recommend two improvements to the design: a detachable and/or adjustable hood and at least one pocket inside the jacket.

Perfect fall / early winter jacket!
A truly perfect weight late fall / early winter jacket. And the color, almost a mix between navy and charcoal grey, goes with anything. I've got a few coats in my front closet, but this is the one I've been reaching for most often.

I really love the lightweight fabric of this coat. It's still too early to tell how warm it will be when the temperatures go down.
