boxer brief liner is not a good idea
Boxer brief liner is not an upgrade. It (or maybe something else) makes the suit feel quite heavy when swimming, which is not desirable; might be accepable for other purposes. Past Bean swimwear options have been much better.
Odd that "swimming" is not an option to the review question "What activity did you use this product for?". These are swimtrunks, right?

Perfect “dad” trunks!
Comfortable and flattering for the Dad bod! Got these from my husband for Father’s Day and he loves them! Great fit super comfortable. He usually hates the liners that are in swim shorts, but these didn’t bother him at all. They don’t ride up!

Great bathing suit. Way better that the ones with netting. Instead of the netting that we all hate, these have an insert that is more like bike pants. They are much more comfortable and the insert dries quickly. The shorts are well made and look good.

I ALWAYS PURCHASED CHEAP SWIM TRUNKS IN THE PAST. THEY ALWAYS SEEMED TO LOSE THEIR WAIST BAND....WOULD GET LOSE....THESE TRUNKS, ALTHOUGH EXPENSIVE, ARE MADE VERY WELL AND THE WAIST BAND IS VERY STRONG. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THESE BEFORE I WASTED ALL OF MY MONEY BUYING MANY INEXPENSIVE TRUNKS. I GUESS THE OLD SAYING RINGS TRUE, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
