Verry poor design
These pants are almost identical to ones that I purchased in the past except for one thing. They have replaced a conventional snap with some sort of hybrid snap/button. Will not stay secured

Good Pants. Strange waist closure
I like the fit and construction of the pants, with one exception. I don't know what to call the waist closure. It is not a snap or a button but something in between. While it looks like a snap, it has a pin and slot-type closure. Whatever it is, it won't stay secure

Strange Snap - Is a slide, not a snap
The snap is not really a snap but more of a slide, as you have to slide it from a larger hole to a smaller hole. This is impossible to do unless you are wearing the pants, and even then if it not lined up perfectly or you are not sliding it exactly right, then it will not work. This is not a good snap for pants, which is too bad because otherwise they are great pants.

Low hip huggers
Unfortunately these pants are short between the crotch and the waist. Therefore they don't work well for a 5'10" man who weights 190 lbs. His pants need to go to the waist and these end below the waist on the hips. So they won't stay up on him or feel comfortable. In addition the elastic is minimal and requires a pull string. For my husband who has dementia and some incontinence, this is not ideal. I really wanted something that could easily be pulled on and off.

Great Comfortable Pants
I was skeptical about the comfort drawstring waist, that the pants would bunch up, or I’d have trouble keeping them without a belt. Now they’re some of my favorite pants. I’ve bought two others and wear them daily, even to work. We can dress somewhat casual, but there is a dress code. I pair these pants with a pullover or seersucker shirt LL Besn on both) and am comfortable all day.

Good pants.. Bad snap.
Like these pants a lot. Have several pairs. However, snap on oldest pair no longer stays closed. Hope the newer pants fare better. Why not use the basic standard snap found on jeans?

A bad snap design ruins these good pants.

Comfy pants, too bad about snap
Husband loves these, nice looking, comfy. Good thing for elastic waist because snap on fly is IMPOSSIBLE to use. I tried with both hands to pull snap apart and I stopped when it looked like the snap would rip out of the fabric before separating

Not great, but they’re my only option.
I ordered these because they seemed to have the features I need - stretch fabric, elastic waist, and the impossible -to-find 28” inseam. I have a lower back deformity that makes finding lighter weight long pants that fit comfortably near impossible. (I wish these had a crease for a crisper appearance.) So 3 stars for the pants, 1 star for my crooked spine.

great fit, but...
I bought these slacks a month ago and I am overall very happy with them. The fit was exactly as ordered. My only complaint is with the fastener in the waist band. It is hard to manipulate (I have arthritis) and it creates problems in the bathroom. Please do something about these fasteners. They are the only negative item on an otherwise excellent product.

No belt - Drawstring only. Pants won't stay up
Be aware: these pants do not take a belt and instead have a "Comfortable elastic waistband with internal drawcord that lets you adjust the fit." NOT! I failed to read every detail of description and got a pair of pants in my size that would not stay up. Wore them to a small concert and had to walk around with one hand holding my pants up. This is poorly designed. I Drawstrings are for swim suits and PJ's -- maybe. Returning today. And way overpriced for inferior product.

Stretchy and Lightweight!
These stretchy, lighweight pants have zippered pockets -- lots of pockets -- and are excellent for summer work. My husband now has several pairs and they are a wardrobe staple.

Huge disappointment
I was looking for a great easy to get on pant for my husband who has advanced Parkinson’s. I thought I had found a great pant based on reviews. Well I could not get them unsnapped! I tried and tried to get these unsnapped and I could not! So he couldn’t even try them on! I’m so upset that I have to take time to send these back! I would not recommend these to anyone!

Comfortable and Nice looking
My husband has Parkinson's disease and is struggling with buttons/snaps and zippers, so the elastic waist with inside drawstrings appealed to him. These pants look much better than sweatpants. One suggestion that he has is to put a cinch on the drawstrings to keep them tightened. It is difficult for him to tie and untie the drawstrings. These pants are comfortable and nice looking!

Great pants, terrible snap, snap needs redisgn
Pants are comfortable and nice looking but the snap is a terribly flawed design. The snap requires that it be positioned in a certain direction for it to claps properly but the snap rotates so anytime you are trying to close it you might have to rotate the snap to find the correct direction. Also, because of this flaw, if the snap rotates while you're wearing the pants they will sometimes come undone without warning. Strange flaw for LLBean. Would love for them to fix the snap. Won't buy again until they do.

great pants, terrible snap closure!
Husband loves the pants, HATES the snap closure! Why not use a regular snap closure?? This closure is super hard to use; it's clear how it's supposed to be used, but very hard to get open and closed. He's considering having a seamstress re-do it. Which would absurdly raise the price. It would have gotten a 5 star otherwise.

I love the pants. They fit well. Nice material and very comfortable. The button clasp on these are a mess. I have bought 4 pairs of these pants and the clasp has failed on 3 of them. Add one more that I returned and the replacement pants clasp also failed. I'm trying to figure out how to replace or repair the button clasp because I really like the pants - no luck so far...

Great pants. One suggestion for LL Bean
I love these pants. I have one suggestion for LL Bean: put belt loops around the waist so a person has the option to use a belt. If you did that, these pants would literally be perfect.
