Great for spring/summer in the Colorado Rockies, soft, light weight. Purchased the gold/blue and the periwinkle plaid. I'm 5'6", 160 lbs., 43/44" around back and bust (B/C cup) - the large fit great. Sleeves go to my wrists. No problem with button holes being too small. 4 stars because I haven't washed it yet.

Nice shirt... I think it's the softest shirt I own. Dark color is better than it looks online. I would prefer an inch or two longer but that's not a deal breaker. Shirt runs true to size, maybe a bit large so size down if you prefer a more fitted style. Sleeve length is good. Washed and dried without need to iron. I would like more color choices!

cheap construction
This shirt only has 6 buttons down the front and gaps in the chest area. My other LLB button down shirts have 7-8 buttons. Sleeves were long for a medium. The material is nice and I would have loved to purchase several of these if the quality was better. Also miss not having petite sizes available. Unfortunately, this is being returned

Perfect fit, fabric and style

Pluses and minuses
Considering the price of this shirt, I would expect the patterns to be better matched. The fabric is very lightweight and soft to the touch. The arms are a little longer than what I expected and that is coming from person who usually complains about not having enough sleeve length.

Roomy lightweight twill shirt
This shirt is exactly as described: lightweight twill fabric and generously sized. The color I ordered , a sort of sage color ( no longer available) made me look washed out and with the generous sizing, I looked rather lost in it, so I returned it. Perhaps sometime I’ll try it in a more vivid color. If a roomy, twill shirt is what you’re looking for, this will fit the bill.

Great shirt but please bring it back in petite!
I love the fabric of this shirt so much that I wore out the one I bought when it was available in petite. Why is it only available in regular sizes now? I bought an XS regular which does not fit my petite frame well. The sleeves are too long, the wrists too wide, and the body baggy. Please resume making this shirt in petite sizes!

It was the color that attracted me, I have some harvest gold jeans and this looks great with them. The shirt is really nice. Great weight, good fit and washed great. I love LL Bean, miss the cold weather only when I see their clothes!

Wonderfully soft and practical
I ordered this shirt to see what the "feather-soft twill" is all about and was very pleased to find it is like wearing a cloud. As with most button-downs, I do wear an undershirt to ensure that there is no accidental peepage between the buttons in the bust area, but the shirt works well unbuttoned over a tank or buttoned up. I bought a Large, which sits well around the waist, loose enough to hide the love handles but not too wide, either.
It works well for a casual day out or light work. I don't think the fabric is durable enough for rough work, but it's not designed for that.
