Our heritage-inspired plaid shirt jac is made of heavyweight chamois flannel, then lined with PrimaLoft® insulation for cozy warmth without extra bulk.
Our classic chamois shirts have been favorites for generations, ever since they were first introduced back in 1927 by our founder, "L.L.", himself. This cozy lined version was created for even more comfort and warmth, with lightweight PrimaLoft insulation and snap closures for easier layering.
- Lined with nylon taffeta.
- Body: Brushed 7.5 oz. Portuguese cotton.
- 80-gram PrimaLoft insulation lining adds lightweight warmth without bulk.
- Machine wash and dry.

Great Quality but not a great fit.
I am 6’2” - 165# and the Med didn’t fit well. Too short in the sleeves and length. The Large was too big in the body. Great quality just a bad fit for me.

Great quality and style!

Surprisingly excellent!
I gave this to my husband for Christmas and he really loves it. He says it's really warm, but not heavy. The extra hand-warmer pockets on the side seams are an unexpected bonus. Plus the snaps instead of buttons make it quick to take off and put on.

Men's Primaloft Lined Jacket
Thank you for having a jacket with the Primaloft lining!!! You're the only retailer I have found who does, anymore. My husband has always worn these. They slide over other flannel shirts easily, weight and warmth are good. He tends to be a warm body, so fleece lining is not an option. He's in a wheelchair most of the time and this is so much easier for him to get on over another shirt without bunching up while he is sitting.

Jacket is very nice, warm and fits well. Large side pockets are nice but a little far back for my liking. Fit on an XLT was right length for someone 6’5” but very wide for me as someone not overly thicc.

Very good but a bit boxy
I've had this for a year and love the green/black Buffalo check pattern and LLBean nailed the vintage orange liner. The snaps are fine but I'd trade them for buttons as a matter of preference. My only gripe is the shirtjac is boxy and shapeless. (Same issue with their traditional fit oxfords and flannels. I wear this both as an outer layer and a mid layer depending on temperatures and weather. It's stylish enough by itself but great under a jacket or even a coat.

Sleaves too narrow, I use this as a layering piece, I need to be able to move. I like loose boxy cuts. Handwarmer pockets should be off-set, not on-seam. Did it have a inner collar loop for hanging on a wood peg? Dark color was good but the fabric/plaid could have been more interesting. Breast pocket could be deeper for cell phone.

front snap broke within 2 weeks of wearing.
everything about this shirt-jac is great EXCEPT the substandard snaps. other reviewers have commented on this. LLBean should listen and harass their manufacturer about providing better, stronger snaps. The Bean reputation for solid outdoor wear is on the line here. we wanted to buy a second jacket but until this feature is improved we will not. what do you do if your front snap "buttons" break and you're on a high country hike?
