These seemed to be a good value and were soft. I was delighted until I noticed the bizarrely thick seam at the toes. The outside of the seem is flat and looks fine, but the inside of the toe seam is a large ridge which felt like it would be very bothersome. Was this a manufacturing shortcut? I would have otherwise liked them. I returned them.

Not how my foot is shaped…
I love how these look but I find the foot region is over large and it’s hard to fit all the sock into my sneakers. I think these will soften up with a few more washes and fit better, too. I sure love having wool socks that can just go into the washer and dryer!

Favorite socks year round!
Luv these socks! Keep my feet really warm and don’t itch! I do put them thru the washer and hang dry. I like that they don’t bind at the top like so many others. Started wearing these at the hospital as part of my uniform and they kept my feet dry and comfortable even in the summer.

Run big and very stretchy . I am a women..wear size 10 shoe ordered medium. Glad i didnt order large like rhe sizing chart said. They are warm though. I was really hoping to get old ragg socks that were made 30 years ago

Nice socks
Similar to hand knit socks in texture and fiber content. My only complaint is that there is a vinyl ll bean brand label on the side of one sock which is white and stands out. A terrible thing to do to such wonderful socks!

The best wool socks!
I have worn L.L.Bean ragg wool socks for decades. They are my winter go-to socks. These socks keep my feet warm and toasty in even the coldest weather.
I typically buy the socks in the light gray color...but I couldn't resist getting this recent two-pack: one in a blue design and the other in a lovely wine color with navy trim. I am going to order another set in these colors.
Years ago, Bean made the ragg wool socks in a wider variety of colors. I remember having a bright red pair many years ago. Nevertheless the quality does not seem to have changed in all the years I've worn them. They last a long time.
I do not find them at all itchy and I am sensitive to some wools.
I wish they still made the socks in the 12" height as they cover more of my leg but the 10" is fine.
I recommend washing these socks by hand using a wool specific soap and hanging them to dry.
You can wash them in the machine but if you do, be sure to hang them or lay them out to dry.
If you put them in the dryer, they shrink and the wool tightens up. The socks are not fussy but do treat them like you would other wool items.
I would never want to be without a few pairs of these socks especially with our New England winters and often cold and raw early springs.

These socks run large - helpful when you wash them as they do not shrink so much that you can't wear them. They are warm and cozy and perfect for around the house or out n about in the Phoenix winter. It does get cold in the desert.
