Heavyweight waterhog stair treads
Originally purchased to try to get my son's lab to climb smooth wood stairs that she was fearful of. Although she still refuses to go up and down with the added traction, we are finding them to be very nice. As senior citizens, the added safety of a non slippery surface is a plus. They also cut down on the noise on the stairs. Nice well made product.

Exactly what I needed.
These stair treads live up to their description. I bought them because the dog was no longer confident walking up and down the hardwood stairs. They stay in place, and the dog happily runs up and down the stairs without slipping. The treads also don't move when I walk on them, which is even better. The only negative aspect of the treads is that dirt gets caught in the weave making it hard to vacuum on the steps. But clean nicely with a hose outside as long as it is not below freezing.

Look better than expected, love the color!
We installed a new wood staircase and needed a stair tread for our Aussiedoodle puppy to be able to use the stairs. I reviewed many products to find an option that required zero type of adhesive on our brand new staircase. I'm super happy with these! They look better than expected and don't feel like an outdoor/indoor product. I'm also pleasantly surprised at the charcoal grey color -- I was worried it would be too dark but it's a very nice grey. So far our 30lb dog is happy and they're not slipping at all/ the rubber holds them in place. My only two negatives are 1) shipping took a month and 2) yes, they are quite expensive because I needed to buy 3 packages for a small staircase.

Life Changing Stair Threads
These stair threads have been life changing for my senior dog! His confidence in going up and down our wood stairs is back! I wish I had found these sooner. The fact that they stay in place without.nails or glue is amazing. Thank you for such a great product....worth every dollar!

Stair treads helped my dog.
Stair treads are just what I needed for my dog that was slipping down the stairs. They stay in place even though they are not fixed to the wood and don't slip. She doesn't wipe out anymore!

Treads look great, function well, great value!
Look great, function well, great value: I ordered three sets of the LL Bean stair treads in a muted deep blue. The pattern looks like small tone on tone daisies. Just as other reviews had indicated, they stay in place, and do an excellent job of making the stairs safer for us, and for our two German Shepherds. The treads were not difficult to trim, for the narrower upper steps, and for the three wide steps of the turn. We used long black carpet tacks, to secure the various pieces on the three steps of the turn in our staircase, and they disappeared into the treads.

No More Scorching Hot Steps!
I bought these because our composite decking stairs, which are medium gray in color, get scorching hot in the sun. Too hot for our dogs pads and our feet without shoes. The medium gray color matches our steps. We just got them and they work like a charm! The surface of the stairs is too hot to step on, yet the stair treads are not a problem at all, even with the medium gray color. Our home faces SW, so is in the sun all day. Additionally, our decking surfaces has a faux wood grain texture and these are staying put, even in the cool Minnesota mornings we're having this spring. They're doing the job I ordered them for.

I love them...
These mats are awesome. I've noticed less dirt on my floors already in the last couple weeks. Great value for your money. I only wish they came in varied lengths and quantities or sets of two. Mine overlap a little (not a big deal; no tripping hazard) and I have two extra sets as I have four long steps.

Love these mats
We purchased these mats after our wood stairs were replaced with luxury vinyl. Our dog slipped and became scared to take the stairs. Once we laid these mats down, she does the stairs with confidence. They don’t slip so I feel safe on them, too. Great quality and they look beautiful on the steps.

Great for older dogs (and their humans too!)!!
I was so worried before I got these due to a few of the mixed reviews. We have hardwood steps and my older dog was struggling with going up and down. He slipped a few times and became fearful. We didn't want to put down adhesive due to fear of ruining the finish on the steps, but came across these while looking for alternatives. They do NOT move. They have given my dog back his ability to go up and down. These are worth the extra price tag. They took FOREVER to ship, but once they made it, they helped alleviate a terrible stress in our home!

Safe Travels
Great grip to stay in place and the surface texture makes for safer stepping up and down. Color, texture and pattern are very nice. We so appreciate that these are made in the USA! However, these are definitely over-priced... breaking the bank! I purchased these for my mom who asked me to get them.

Stair treads refused to lay flat on steps
A total failure as stair treads. All four sets (4 in a set) curled under on the edges, refusing to lay flat and making a popping sound when stepped on. They also slid since the entire surface didn't connect with the floor. I bought them to make climbing stairs easier on an elderly dog and he refused to step on them. I put them on my hot driveway with rubberized side up hoping to flatten the edges. It worked briefly but as soon as they cooled down in the house the edges curled under again. Very disappointed with the quality of the product.

exceeds expectations
I am even more pleased with these than I thought I would be. I have an old rental house with slippery back wood stairs and after two of us slipped I decided to look for something like this. It is hard to find a set of 4 which I needed, and they fit perfectly the size of the steps. I put carpet tape under them right away so I can't really speak to how they move on the steps, but so far with a little carpet tape on the center middle edge of the steps they haven't moved at all. The pattern is great under foot and won't shed onto socks. Grabs the pine needles off our shoes very well and vacuums easily. Can't wait to see how they are with wet and snow.
