Good for tall and/or portly
My husband dislikes T-shirts with no pocket. This is sturdy. If you're looking for a lightweight T, this isn't it, but because it's very good quality cotton, it's even good in the summer. The choice of a long shirt really pleased him. Weighty folks too often have shirts which slip northwards too easily. The extra length solved that, too. These shirts are -- for us -- quite expensive, but they do last and hold their shape well. I highly recommend them if you've got a second job.

Disappointing Quality
My husband was looking for a quality heavyweight tshirt. We thought we’d try these. The fabric is heavyweight but it’s also very stiff and isn’t softening up through washing. Also, the color is fading and the sleeve and bottom hem seams are rolling. Wouldn’t buy again.

Different from other tshirts w a Pocket.
Nice shirt. But has a little llbean logo sewn on the pocket—I dislike doing free advertising—and the material is thicker, coarser, than the other beans tshirts I’ve bought. Even after one washing the shirt material is still coarse.

A successful gift
My husband loves polo shirts, but he’s tall and they often come untucked. Fortunately, this shirt comes in a tall and fits him perfectly. He loves the weight of it and the fact that it has a pocket for his glasses. I have been shopping L.L. Bean since the 60s and they never disappoint.

Good and Bad
I like the shirt. But it has a feature that annoys me. The seams at the sleeve ends and the torso bottom roll up during the wash/dry process. And they do not easily unroll. Nobody wants to iron a tee shirt.

Good quality thick t shirt
These are good quality, thick, somewhat rigid work tshirts. After a couple wears and washes, the quality seems to hold up. Like most LL Bean t shirts, the hems are not the best and they curl up a bit on the bottom him and the sleeves.
I think the sizing is just a little bit roomier than other LL Bean t shirts. I usually purchase XL and like a baggy fit. These are maybe a bit bigger than others, but in my experience, they aren’t way oversized or anything.

Great shirt in an XL. Thick material that doesn’t hug every curve. A little wide at the bottom but I’m sure will suit most XL wearers just fine. I’d buy more if color selection expands.

A great product with hefty thickness.
Overly sized in width and length but thats the way they’re meant to be. This product is ultra durable due to the thickness of the shirt and they feel heavy but not overly so perfectly suited for cool/warm sunny weather. Simple style that just works and matches great with the Ripstop clothing.

Short Sleeve T-shirts for Winter?
I bought a bunch of these T-shirts thinking I was buying the extremely comfortable and pocket T's Bean has sold forever. Boy was I surprised! These T's are made from a very heavy fabric that is ideal for winter. I washed them immediately hoping to make them softer, that didn't work.

My new favorite t-shirt
I feel like I had to post a positive review to counteract the negative ones, because I hope L.L. Bean keeps making this shirt. The carefree unshrinkable used to be my go-to, but after some durability and breathability issues, I was looking for a replacement. The fabric doesn't feel like normal t-shirt material at first touch (coarser weave and thicker), but is comfortable and wears well. It's an untucked fit, so people complaining that it's not long enough are missing that point. If you have other untucked shirts from L.L. Bean, the fit is similar.

I love this shirt, even though it's for men. It has a nice weight and feel to it and the shoulders are wide enough for me. It's a bit narrow around the hips, but that's to be expected since it's designed for men. Basically it's great!

I've been buying LL Bean Ts for years, they are good quality shirts. I thought I was getting the same as usual but this one is a heavier fabric, ok for winter but not warm weather. Comes with a pocket tag difficult to remove.
