I really like the material but the neckline is lower than I would have liked. Otherwise the sleep shirt will be nice for cooler weather.

I have ordered sleepwear from L L Bean many times, always in XS. The items always fit perfectly. Not this time! Sleeves were way too long and body was way too wide. Since there are no sizes smaller than XS I was out of luck and disappointed. Fabric was beautiful and soft. Garment was well made as I expected from LL Bean.

A disappointing night gown
The knit fabric of this night gown is very soft (a nice feature) but is so stretchy that it "grows" and quickly became a sloppy fit.The night gown falls off my shoulders and twists around while I sleep. It's disappointing as it was an expensive item.

Agree with earlier comment on construction
I just received my order of 2 of these "Sleep Dresses". They run HUGE. The strange construction of the side seams with inches of extra material flopping around is not something I have ever seen before, and I sew. It's almost like they cut out a pattern of the largest size and took in the side seams to make smaller sizes. I am not sure how comfortable they will be but because they were washed before I noticed the flapping seams I will have to keep them. I may end up remaking the side seams since they run so large and there is plenty of excess fabric to work with. Thought I had found the perfect item, guess not!

Pretty fabric, poor design
Although the fabric feels nice and I love the color, the construction of this nightgown is weird (I am an experienced seamstress) which causes the fabric to stretch out at the stress points. The sleeve starts out with a dolman style that ends just past the shoulder, then a regular sleeve was attached to it in an odd place and in a way causing bulky seams to hit a sensitive spot under my arm that is very uncomfortable to wear. Also, the sides have a very large overlapped seam from underarm to the hem in order to create a shirttail hem with a huge waste of fabric and makes the gown too warm to wear comfortably all night. I bought two of these months ago, and the more I wear them, the less like them. I have never been disappointed in a L.L. Bean product before.

Great night shirt
The fabric of these night shirts is terrific. Cotton breathes and modal is soft and flexible...together they make a very comfortable shirt for sleep. Only complaint...I typically order medium from LL Bean but the medium night shirt is a bit large. I've washed them and can't exchange for a small but that may have been a better choice.

Happy with this gown
