More Quilted, NOT Puffy!
I bought this because it is described as Puffy. Puffy it is NOT. There is very little fill. It fits well, but it is very much a lightweight jacket. The zipper teeth are metal, a little large, and it would be better with a nylon or smaller tooth zipper.

Overall ok
Looks nice (not too bulky), keeps you warm when it’s in the 40s but it’s too thin for colder temps. Collar annoyingly pokes the bottom of your chin when zipped up so I use a scarf and don’t zip up completely. Seems a bit cheaply made (thin material) but overall ok.

Perfect Except For The Huge Upper Arms
Everything about this coat I liked except fo the upper arms. The cut around the chest and hips was flattering. The material was lightweight but warm. I definitely liked the sleeve length which was perfect (too many coats these days have short sleeves). The upper arms were laughable, though. They might have worked if I had the biceps of a man twice my size. Returned.

Good quality, fit is weird for me
The quality of this coat is good, the fit is a little weird for me…it fits fine through the chest but it’s big around the middle…not super flattering but it’s warm and will do the job. I usually buy Columbia brand and wear an xl but wanted to try this brand. I don’t like the fit as much as Columbia brand.

Nice looking, but overpriced.
There is no way to secure the hood. No inside pockets. No cuff on the inside of sleeve . Also runs small. There was a strong unpleasant odor
on the upper part of the fleece lining. First item from Bean that ever had an odor. And I have bought many items from clothes to bed linens.
Disheartened. Wanted to like this. I am returning it.

Alaskan Cruise
Purchased specifically for an end of Aug. Alaskan Cruise trip. Being from Vegas these days, I anticipated being cold in the 50°/60° weather. This jacket kept me warm and it’s super lightweight. It also kept my dry during the on and off rain I experienced. I was able to toss this jacket in a gallon size zip lock bag and squeeze the air out for compression to easily fit into my small (purse like) backpack. I originally ordered a medium, but it was a pretty loose fit. I settled on the small because I prefer a more fitted look. I am 5’7 and 160lbs; 36C with wide hips. Perfect around the chest, snug around the hips, but everything is always snug around my hips

The fit of this coat is perfect!
Thank you, LL Bean, for making more petite length women’s’ clothes!! I have bought several coats over the years and the arms and coat length were always too long. (Not a good look on shorter women.). This year has been wonderful to order clothes that fit and are flattering. Love having a hood on this coat, the correct length for arms, the warmth of the coat, etc. Had our first cooler day today, so soon I’ll be grabbing this guy a lot.

Just right!
Very nice light jacket. Haven’t had to use it yet but I like the look and fit. I am 5’4”, 160 lbs, wear a womens large in shirts but a medium fit much better in this jacket. The large I originally ordered was way too big. I can even get a tshirt with a sweatshirt under the medium just fine.
