I’ve had this bag 3 years. Never have I had one like this. Never stains, you can sat it on the floor and not worry about edge damage. I’ve bought Coach, MK, etc. but not one of them whole up like Banana Republic.

Really good bag but poor handles !
I bought this bag a few months ago and it was wonderful until the straps/handles started to come apart. I did not put anything too heavy in there. The leather is very nice and it is sturdy but the handles is not up to standards, especially for LL Bean. A bit disappointed.

Love the bag but handles come apart
My mother bought this bag for me and left a review above. Bag is beautiful and functional, however within a couple of months the handle straps started pulling apart. It looks as though they were heat bonded versus being sewed like other totes. I am not returning for a refund, but will request that the handles be sewn together to fix the problem!! Aside from this, bag is BEAUTIFUL!

Listen to other reviewers straps do come apart.
After a few weeks, the straps started to rip apart, as other reviewers have stated. LL Bean must have been aware, as I could get a replacement tote bag without any issues. Item 1 stars, customer service five stars.

Poor craftsmanship
The handle is 2 piece of leather put together with plastic in between and sealed with some c kind of rubber loved the bag until it came apart after only using for 1 week

Gorgeous bag that will last forever...
This leather tote is beautiful! Sturdy and holds its shape when full. Love the inside pocket and magnetic closure. Mine works fine & not sure about other reviews... The black is rich and matches everything. I recieved this bag for my 40th birthday from family & will treasure it for years.

Lovely bag, one problem
This is a very nice bag. The leather is very nice and the design is attractive. I purchased it to use as a carryall tote as well as a handbag. Due to a major problem i cannot use it as a handbag. The magnetic closure does NOT work at all and it would be too easy for items to fall out or for someone to put a hand inside and pull out something. Unfortunately in these days we have to be concerned.
