Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight yet warm jacket Great lightweight jacket and surprisingly warm for it's thickness. The only thing I wish it had was a chest pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket (inside pockets please) Excellent quality. Extremely warm though lightweight. In my view, the one thing that would make it better is a couple of inside pockets for carrying personal items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warm layer Perfect warm layer in multi layer rigs. Also doubles as an outer layer on dry days. Another pocket or pass stash would make it better 😎

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bean's Down Jacket Fault The lining inside the jacket catches other fabrics when putting on the jacket. The jacket is hard to put on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design- interior. The fleece interior of this jacket was a poor idea. Don't try wearing a sweater or chamois shirt under this jacket because when you take it off you'll be taking the sleeves with you. Try a nylon primaloft interior. Not fleece guys.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No inside pockets No inside pockets. It looks good on but it is trim fit. Can’t wear anything heavy under it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Down South aint always hot! The fuzzy lining makes getting the cost on over normal clothing difficult. The car-coat length keeps my lower extremities warm. Here in South Alabama the we had record breaking snow fall and low temperatures. Eight inches of snow and temps dropped to 15 degrees with 20 to 30 mph winds. This coat was excellent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not up to my expectations from LL Bean I have always been delighted with the design and quality of everything I've purchased from LL Bean over the years. Up to now - this jacket has been disappointing. It's not all bad - the fit and look are good, and the warmth is what I was looking for in a medium weight down jacket. But a couple of, in my opinion, design flaws leave me with a garment that annoys me every time I put it on. First, the fleece lining in the top of the sleeves leads to friction when trying to put it on over a fleece pullover, sweater or sweatshirt so you have to squirm around as you try to pull it over your arms. Second, the satin lining in the lower part of the sleeves is loose and bulky, so that it protrudes quite a bit once you've struggled to get your arms in the sleeves. As the lining is in a contrasting color, you need to take the extra step of stuffing it back behind the cuffs. And the cuffs themselves seem to be cheaply designed: a simple 3/8" elastic banding that may be functional, but not attractive. I feel like LL Bean took a few shortcuts to develop a low entry price point down jacket, and would have preferred that the company not let these kinds of decisions dilute their brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Down Jacket! This is the first down jacket I have bought and owned. After thoughtful consideration of quality, insulation power, and price, this jacket is definitely a must have. I prefer down compared to acrylic and polyester. You don't even need a base layer with this jacket. The temperature gets to about 15* F here and with this jacket, I don't need a base layer. It does a great job of keeping me warm. I highly recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Improperly sized. Color is more “electric” LL has apparently decided that many jackets need to be tapered at the waist. I’m a normal XL and it was way too snug (no room to store a small pair of gloves in pockets). And the blue color is more “electric” than portrayed online. If you don’t mind bright, it’s fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bean's down jacket men's regular Coat is warm. i like lining compared to similar items. The only issue that I have is that it runs quite small.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could have been better Nice jacket but, the cloth lining is somewhat loose and makes the jacket difficult to put on. The sleeves lining also is loose and after putting the jacket on require the tucking in of the lining that sticks out from the cuffs. Hard to put the jacket on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Purchase Nice service. The quality of the clothes is top notch, in addition to the design. It's one of my favorite stores

Rated 3 out of 5 by from R I actually like the coat, but you should have your manufacturer put smooth fabric inside the sleeves completely to the shoulder. Very hard to put on with flannel shirt, sleeves bunch up at my arm pit. Hard to shake the sleeves back down. Also I have always been XL, needed XXL and it is a bit tight. Made in ????. Small people?
