Nice colour and perfect for fall
Got this today and was happy with the quality, it was perfect for fall weather, only problem is that I read a few reviews saying to order a size larger than normal so I did, which the jacket is too large for me now. So I’m gonna have to reorder in my normal size. The quality is good and very light weight perfect for my fall time walks. Feels warm too

Not so good....
This jacket is the first thing I've bought from LLBean that I am disappointed in. And I am greatly disappointed. Firstly, it just isn't made properly. Yeah, I know the advert says "slightly fitted" but I'm thinking this is a far sight more than "slightly". I ordered the 3XL tall, which is my usual size. I can only imagine the person that this would fit will have a small head and very narrow neck, scrawny shoulders, chest, back, and arms....while having a big gut because as snug as it is in the upper body it bags out at the waist. If I zip it all the way up under my chin while just wearing a light flannel shirt under it, the neck area is very tight and bordering on choking me. If you've bothered to build your upper body up at all in your work or athletic endeavors, you will find this jacket too restrictive in the upper body. The length in the sleeves and torso is fine at least. However, it's not even warm. I took the dogs out this morning with the temps in the upper forties and I could feel the cold sinking right through. The more I wear it, the more I wish I would have returned it, and I'm thinking this jacket is a real dud for a grown man.

A little disappointing
For one thing this jacket is cut odd. Meaning a size too small in the chest and shoulders, but still managing to be baggy in the waist. It says slightly fitted but I think it's a little more than slightly, at least around the chest shoulder and back areas. The hood is small, and so are the front pockets, I can barely get my whole hand in them. I'm 6'6", 270 pounds, athletic build with broad shoulders, big chest and arms, and I ordered my regular size which is 3XL tall. This fits like a 2XL in the upper body and doesn't really give me much room to layer at all or move about without feeling constrained. So, you might wanna think about going up a size if you like those things, if possible. The color is nice. (thyme) Sort of a dark foliage green, just a shade darker than the foliage green of U.S. Army fame. I'll keep it because I'm sure I can use it on chilly mornings, but it's not really what I was shooting for a hoping to get, and us big guys are running out of places to get clothes.

Good windbreaker, provides warmth with layers
An excellent windbreaker and provides warmth when used over some layers. Bought for a spring vacation in Scandinavia where it was often windy, damp and in the 40's. This jacket was an excellent wind break to be sure. It is constructed of an outer water resistant fabric with a relatively thin fleece lining. Warmth is somewhat subjective but I found I depended more on a flannel shirt and/or down vest to provide the main warmth and this was a terrific outer layer. The hood provided nice protection in wind and rain.
I buy a lot of LL Bean stuff and like the quality and rugged durability of the products. To me this jacket is satisfactory to good but not on the high end of LL Bean quality.

Great jacket with zip-out lining and a hood that c
I really like this jacket. The best thing is that the lining can be zipped out when the weather is warm( >60 degrees). One must be careful since some three season or 3 in 1 jackets have a lining which cannot be removed. This jacket is comfortable and I like the fact that the hood can be rolled up into the collar.

The Perfect 3-Season Coat
I was looking for a winter coat, something warm enough for snowblowing or walking the dogs in crisp cold. I had tried another similar item but wasn't satisfied. This one seemed a bit too lightweight for winter but I decided to give it a shot.
This really is the coat I was looking for - a 3-season coat!!
It's spring now, and I can comfortably wear it on a damp 50-something degree day. It's comfy in the winter without the bulk of a parka. (I don't go out in parka weather.)

Very comfortable and stylish
This jacket is truly a winner. It is a very versatile jacket that you make a clean neat appearance when wearing it. The jacket is well made and feels great because it is flexible and not bulky. I was so happy I decided to purchase a second one. How often do you find the perfect item and years later try to get another but it is no longer available. I may be in trouble - the jacket comes in 3 colors !

Fits my needs perfectly

Overall good jacket with sizing issues
Sizing issue - hubby typically wears XXL-T in all Beans products but it was extremely small. Ordered a XXXL-T, which fits reasonably well and he likes it, although arms are a tad too long. Others report same problem. Original color was not available in larger size.

Perfect jacket for most weather conditions
I am able to use this jacket at 22 degrees during the winter, without feeling the chills from the cold. I am sure, this should also be a good jacket for Spring/fall conditions as well. Fit is just perfect, not relaxed or not too slim.

Almost - but not quite great
I DO like the coat - but .... Insulation when cold sounds and feels like wax paper .... Side pocket openings are small - it's not real easy to put in your hand and never will with a glove. Material is of such texture that it will pick up and hold any dust or fine dirt and must be cleaned with a damp cloth.
