Nice jacket with issues
I like the jacket. It looks great, is warm, has a hood and hand-warmer pockets. Two gripes: the fleece lining in the inside back and shoulders make it difficult to put on - especially if you’re wearing a fleece or sweater. If that area was covered with nylon it would slip on easily. Second gripe is the contrasting colored liner of the sleeves pulls out the bottom of the sleeves when you slide your hands in. A small matter but annoying.

Want a warm winter jacket, but don't want to look like a "Tire Marshmallow Man"? This jacket fits the bill. Good fit, classic look, but not too thick and a nice hood. Breathes well, but I would not wear it in a heavy rainstorm with no umbrella.

Terrible Design
I should have returned this immediately. Half of the interior is fleece lined causing whatever garment you're wearing, shirt or sweater, to snag and grab onto the fleece and make it a struggle to put on. It pulls the fleece lined interior outside the ends of the coat sleeve. Also, there are no inside pockets nor an exterior breast pocket. It's warm enough but LLBean has been making down coats for decades and this was a totally rookie mistake. Shop around.

Feathers
This was a birthday gift for my son. He loved the coat( the color, style) after wearing it for a few days I noticed that he was covered in feathers. I’m sorry to say that they have not stopped falling out. For a LL Bean product I was very disappointed.

Very Nice Jacket That Didn't Work Out
I ended up returning this for one simple reason: when ordering I didn't notice the hood wasn't adjustable. Not a terrible thing, and the jacket itself appeared well made and reasonably warm--we had a cold spell going on so I was outside in high, cold winds--but the hood being a tad bigger than my head, the cold was blowing into the jacket. I would also make this point: I didn't order a medium and large and send back the one that fit less correctly, I ordered a large based on the guidelines and it was just enough too big it made the non-adjustable hood more of a heat suck. Had I ordered a medium instead I might have kept the jacket, and the costs of sending things back might have been worth it. But that points as much to having to do something only mail order: w/o trying something on, it means paying the price.

Would have preferred a silky lining .. my husband always has trouble getting the jacket on and off because of the lightning. Especially if he has a sweater underneath.

Love the style but don't like the inside fleece

Good coat. Long sleeves make it hard to put on.
This coat is warm and ok quality. One thing I don’t like about it is that if you are wearing a long sleeve shirt and out the coat on your long sleeves do not slide into the coat sleeves easily and then the inside of the shirt shows at the wrist and you have to adjust to get it correct. Hard to explain but a little irritating.

Great fit!
The fit is superb. It tapers @ the waist for a tall, thin guy. Warmth is perfect with fleece lining during our cold January. I was concerned about the attached hood, but the design holds it snug to keep his neck warm. Very pleased.

Almost great
I received this jacket for a Christmas gift. I was wanting a down filled jacket with an attached, insulated hood; I thought this was it. I wear a large in everything from parkas to button-down shirts, so a large should fit fine, I thought.
The sleeves are a little snug and they grip my shirt sleeves, pulling the jacket liner down into the jacket sleeve. It takes a little adjusting but, I can make it work. The most annoying thing about the jacket is the fleece lining that grabs my back and makes it difficult to get settled into the jacket. This also, with a bit of adjusting, works.
The jacket is very warm, looks great and is fairly comfortable. With the recent cold spell it is a welcome addition.

Solid go to coat. Basic but warm and durable.
Great go to coat for cold weather. Affordable but lacking some features. No draw cord on hood and only two hand pockets. Would love an extra pocket but you can’t beat the warmth and quality at the price point.

Best. Coat. Ever.
I’m a woman but I wanted a roomie, cozy, super warm coat, and this one delivered. I was SO happy when I put it on and immediately felt enveloped in warmth and softness.
