Bean Hooded Jacket
I already had bought a size larger so that I wouldn't have to send it back so I had to go up two sizes from my original size. The other complaint is the fleece inside liner needs to be tacked down very poorly made for the price of the jacket .

Great coat, needs more pockets
Nice and light yet quite warm. I'm 5'7" and 225 lbs. XXXL rits well over my large shoulders and chest. I wish it had more pockets.

Extra Small Sizing
I bought a 3XL and it fit more like a 1XL. It was so small it didn't fit my shoulders and didn't even come close to covering me enough to zip it up. They don't have a bigger size so no coat for me.

Have a Giant Child??
I searched a long time to find a winter coat suitable for North Dakota winters for my 13 year old bean pole of a child. I know the quality of the coat is there, just hope that I sized up enough to allow my kiddo to wear the same coat two years in a row.

Perfect Warmth
Bought this a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Incredible ability to keep me warm on chilly nights, while also being light weight. The inside vest area is a nice fleece feeling. I bought a large which was a good fit in length and width but the arms could be about a quarter inch shorter for a perfect fit. Overall great jacket, highly recommend for those cold nights (tested around 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit)

Very Disappointing Jacket
Good materials, too tapered and too short…bad fit, sleeve material snags cotton long-sleeves, no outside or inside chest pockets, no hood drawstring.

Nice style but feathery
The fit and feel of this jacket was very good. The reason for two stars was the numerous places on the jacket where the down was pushing through. I don't know if a more durable outer fabric would remedy this issue but I returned it because of this.

Love it!
I have had very high end tech gear and I was going to buy a more expensive LL Bean down jacket but for an urban every day jacket, this is more than great!
The fleece lined back and neck are super cozy as are the hand pockets! When I walked out of the store I immediately knew it is as warm and wind stopping as advertised. Even little details like zipper function is great.
Do I wish it had a chest pocket for my mobile phone? Yes. But the absence of one did not stop me from buying it. Highly reccomend!

I tried on most all the men's jackets in LL Bean and had the budget for a much pricier jacket, but this one just felt like home when I put it on. The touch of fleece around the inside chest back and neck is such an awesome touch and the jacket is still super light. It's a toasty warm jacket and the black doesn't look as drab as a lot of the pricier models with the great yellow highlights and interior. The main selling point for me was the comfort. A lot of puffies can feel like plasticy, a little like wearing a trashbag. Not this one. It feels like putting on a warm soft blanket. A hidden gem!

Lite and Warm
I am fortunate to live near Albany. NY so was able to stop at the LL Bean store to shop for winter jackets and try them on. I ended up purchasing this jacket and liked that it was lighter than other jackets I have purchased, while still offering warmth. I will say that I agree with other reviews regarding purchasing a size up. This cut is nice and trim and consider you will have some sort of layer underneath for colder months. I typically wear a large in other coats but ended up with an extra-large and even still, it is snug. I should also mention that the lining in the sleaves is loose and with putting your arm through with a sweatshirt, you may need to tuck back in the lining that pokes out to avoid it getting soiled. Other that that, I am happy with this purchase.

Not long enough
Seems well made and would be warm, but the tall 3x men's jacket still falls just at the waist if you're 6'8- returning for something longer with more coverage. It would be great if there was a 2xTall size!

I found poor design in the sleeve lining. The lining would stick way out-more than 3 inches-and was unsightly and prone to soiling and tearing. Not wearable, really.

Okay, but tight.
The jacket is really nice, but it's too snug. I have other LLBean coats the same stated size, and they fit quite well. I wish I could have tried on this jacket before I purchased it. I may not get another mail order jacket without being able to try it on first - this one was not cheap. So much for LLBean catalog purchases.
