How the men’s sweater worked for my husband.
I purchased this cotton knit sweater for my husband for his Birthday. It fits him well and looks very nice on him. No this is not the first time I’ve purchased from L L Bean. I also purchased three totes in different sizes. They are great too and I use them all the time.

Watch Out for the Flecks
I was disappointed with color scheme of the fabric of this sweater. Not clearly depicted in the photo of the product, there are tiny flecks of yellow throughout the yarn. The resultant appearance is one of lint which detracts from the sweater’s beauty.

Quality Sweater
My 58 y/o husband loves this sweater. He is 6' 3" tall and weighs about 215lb. He has broad shoulders, long arms and a 34 inch waist. He doesn't like his clothes to be too baggy because he still works on keeping a good physique for his age. The large tall works well for him. When I dried it I put it in on low heat for about 25 min, and took it out to finish drying because I didn't want to shrink it. He said it is soft and not itchy.

Good looking and good fit.
I was looking for a comfortable sweater to wear over my dress shirt. I have purchase off brands before and they tend to stretch out at the waiste and not lay snug. This sweater besides being comfortable as well as attractive seems to retain its shape better than less expesive sweaters.

Unique color!!!
When I ordered the Loden color sweater, I didn’t realize it had red and orange fibres on it. The sweater looked like it had been next to an exploding carrot. When I opened the package, I initially thought it was defective until I went back to the picture on line and took a closer look. It took me a while, but I love it!! It is one of the most unique sweaters I own.

Great quality and fit, love the Donegal knit!
I just received my sweater in Donegal Sea Grass. It’s funny to see all the comments of folks complaining about various colors in the knit. Those colors are the main characteristic of Donegal knits. There is nothing wrong with your sweater. You are getting exactly what was advertised!

Zoom in before buying the green.
Full honesty, I returned mine. Quick note, this ONLY applies to the dark green one. It's a great sweater, but I didn't zoom in enough to see the color flecks all over it. If it didn't have the weird colors, it would have been a 10/10.

Look at the fabric closely!

Ugly tan nibs
The teal sweater was covered in ugly tan nibs. These tan nibs were barely visible at the highest magnification in the online photo, but were very noticeable on the sweater. I can no longer trust the LL Bean's online photos, so I will be very hesitant about ordering online from LL Bean again. The sweater is getting returned ASAP.
