Great rig for beginner, all most will ever need.
I am by no means an expert, but had snowshoed as a kid so I knew equipment had come a long way. I also recently took an introductory class and found these much better than the rentals. The BOA system is a game change for getting a good fit that is easily adjusted with a gloved/mittened hand. Went 5 miles on my first outing and enjoyed every minute. Worked great on crusted snow and ice, and just slightly less so in fresh powder.

pathfinder snowshoe package
I am in the upper range of the weight rating and shoe size. I found that I sank more than I wished in the last storm of 8" snow and had trouble getting my boots in the binding. Once there were in, it was very easy to tighten the binding. Also I have to use my poles to lift up the adjustment dial. I like the bag which holds shoes and poles and can be carried on the back as well as like a suitcase and has drainage for the snow.

Is the price worth it? Yes!!!!
I bought a cheaper pinker pair online and they broke the first time I used them.
These were an investment, but worth it. The purple is so pretty (even though I love pink).
They are so incredibly easy to put on which was a bonus and even easier to take off.
I went to a new place to go snowshoeing that I had never been to; my knees made it up and down steep and snowy paths.
I have lived in the snow and cold 37 years it was time to finally embrace it and I am so glad that I bought this product.
Thank you L.L. Beam for creating a product that is worth the price and allow me to continue my fitness goals even during the winter.

Great snowshoe package! Snowshoes are so easy to put on and off, thanks to single knob feature that lets you tighten and loosen. All gear stows neatly in rugged bag. Compared to cross country skis, snowshoes are easier to grab and go for winter fun. Best way to have fun on the snow. Thanks LL Bean for a fine quality product. Good times!

Great snowshoes
I bought these to replace a cheap pair we got long ago to try showshoeing. The improvement using these is 100% worth the money spent. Love the quick bindings over my old buckles. Shoes are very sturdy and the poles are solid. Highly recommend
