Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for Snow Blowing I’ve been looking for a good pair of gloves to keep my fingers warm when I snow blow my driveway in Buffalo, NY. I had high hopes for these gloves but these did not deliver. The search continues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good fit, warmth and comfort First off, I love the leashes preventing me from losing these gloves as often as I normally otherwise would. These are very warm and comfy and the strap on the back makes these fit perfectly. I haven’t had too many chances to get extended time in these just because this winter hasn’t been too cold. If not doing labor in these, if you’re just wearing them walking, skiing/snowboarding, ice skating/pond hockey or running the snowblower these seem like they will last for years. I am sure they are great for riding a sled/four wheeler too. But, obviously, warmth comes at the expense of dexterity, and these function as expected for being a warm, extreme weather glove. And that’s why I love those leashes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not warm They may be waterproof, but they are not warm enough. Shoveling and plowing today at 15 degrees and had to take a break because my hands were so cold. I’m had hopes for better warmth, especially at the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but I use these for skiing, they are good for me for high 20's, but for the price they should have leather palms and and hand warmer pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LL BEAN GOE TEX SKI GLOVES My son is enjoying these gloves, particularly during the cold weather in the foothills.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I expected more I had high hopes for these, as I was looking to replace a pair of Oros Primaloft insulated gloves that weren't that warm given their bulk and features. These L. L. Bean gloves seemed promising as they fit better, and are more flexible. Wearing these on a brisk walk for about 35 minutes in temperatures in the mid to upper 20's left my fingers pretty cold. Not what I was hoping... The other issue I have with them may not be problematic for others, depending on how they're used. I don't ski, so I don't know if these were intended to fit OVER the cuff of a jacket, but I wear them under the cuff, and getting that adjusted is challenging. The gloves cuff length is right at the maximum for sliding them over the knit cuff inside my heavy parka, but the glove cinch closure drawstring is difficult to work smoothly underneath the jacket cuff, and more so once one glove is on and you're using your gloved hand to attempt to get the other cuff situated. (Insert preferred profanities here) Overall, they've been a little better than what I was previously using (definitely more flexible) and slightly warmer, but the jury is still out of they're going to be keepers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warm but Fall Apart I only use these gloves for skiing. Maybe 5-7 times/year. Not much. After 2 seasons, the rubber palm is already falling apart. Same happened with my son's gloves. LLBean used to be the standard-bearer for high quality outdoor gear. And they stood by their products. Now their products are cheaply made and fall apart after minimal use. Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid gloves Nice gloves that have some loft to keep your hands warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little extras make the difference The gloves have several nice features including two location to cinch the openings to keep out cold and snow. They also have an elastic strap that keeps them connected to your hands if you temporarily remove them. Instead of putting your gloves down somewhere to be lost, they are kept attached to you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof is a positive These gloves are both warm & waterproof. I like the way they fit over the sleeve of the coat I am wearing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent light weight winter gloves These are the best light weight winter gloves that I have worn. They are reasonably warm and dry even without glove liners down to just below 32° F, and the wrist bands, designed to prevent loss of gloves from a fall on skis, are very helpful to temporarily remove them in-town when out and about. For colder temperatures well below 32° F, however, I still need a bit heavier glove, like a Gordini that accepts a glove liner and provides a zippered pocket to insert an activated hand warmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Gloves A Better Fit than Women's These were perfect for skiing! I am so glad that I read the reviews because I am a 5'7 woman with big hands and pretty long fingers and I still feel like these were a tad short--definitely a better than the Women's gloves would have been.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy if you want to keep your hands warm, I returned them because they didn't keep my hands warm. I live in New Jersey, not somewhere in the great north. A rip off for $69. I bought a real warm pair at Boscov's for $19.99.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from primaloft /gore tex/ LLbean./..whats not to like! primaloft /gore tex/ LLbean./..whats not to like! I bought these in the retail store with a gift card. I have not seen the orange gloves in person. The store only had mens black. and womens blue. They both looked great. tried them on and they feel like good ski gloves. The level of Primaloft in these gloves is good...not rated for extreme cold.....but if you are moving around skiing ,excercising, etc. you will stay warm &dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 140 primaloft gold insulation is medium weight I bought these gloves in mens medium (which is true to size. ) The 140 Primaloft gold insulation is medium weight . (anything above 140 is considered for extreme cold weather.) I researched Primaloft and people complaining that these gloves arent warm eneough must not be moving around much in the cold. If you are skiing for example, then your body will sweat ,heat up,and your hands should stay warm.
