Fantastic base layer
I bought this for a trip to Antarctica and it was just fantastic. It was warm but I didn’t overheat. And it never smelled. It was a long trip and it didn’t smell. At all. It isn’t buttery soft but it does not itch (and I am sensitive). I thought I might but didn’t. And it washes well (when I finally washed it). Very very pleased (I am wearing it now).

Soft, comfortable and warm!
I live in the mountains with 6+ months of winter! This top is my new favorite base layer for nordic skiing, alpine skiing and cold walks with the dog! It’s softer and more comfortable than my similar tops made by other brands. Well done LL Bean!

New old favorite
This is an all purpose shirt. I wear it as both a top and an undergarment. It is a piece of clothing that immediately becomes an old favorite. This is the first half zip shirt I have owned and I like the ability to turn it into a mock turtle.

These RULE!
Warm, fitted, super comfortable and best of all, no irritating seams and scratchy points. Wash cool water gentle, then let dry on rack in bathroom (bonus of adding moisture to the room). Have several crew nect, just trying zip--up turtlenck; wish me luck.

Cresta Midweight 250T Zip Top
I was originally a little disappointed as I had a 260T weight of the same design. I thought it might be just a little thinner than the 260, but it's a lot thinner. Yet after wearing it a few times, it's great. It keeps me warm for the activities that I have used it for, biking and outside Pickleball in winter in Colorado. It does have a lot of nice features, including a covering of the zipper when closed so the cold zipper parts never touch your skin. I love the long sleeves as they have the thumb hole.

Not itchy even for someone with sensitive skin
I was hesitant to order this as I have super sensitive skin and find even cashmere itchy, but I've worn this several times and it doesn't bother me at all, even around my neck. As for warmth, I'd consider this more of a light layer as I can wear it in the house with a sweater over it and I'm warm but not hot. With regard to fit, I am often in between a medium and a large with LL Bean products and don't like "fitted" garments, so I went with a large
and am happy with the fit as it's not clingy. It's nice and long so can be tucked in, the sleeve length seems fine and I have short arms. I've worn it five times while walking my dogs which always leaves me sweating no matter the temp, and without washing it and it has no odor at all. I got really tiredof coming back from outdoor exercise with my arms covered in sweat due to man-made fibers that don't breathe so I'm going back to natural fibers like wool as much as possible.

Fantastic base layer.
Bought this as an impulse purchase, since there was a huge display with them on it. One of the best layering purchases I have ever made. Merino wool, so warm and light AND it can go in the washing machine. I have been wearing it for exercise and winter golf.

Thinner than expected, runs small
I sized up for a roomy fit and it just fits. If it shrinks, I’ll be too small. It’s thinner than comparable SmartWool tops and a little itchy. It’s a nice top, but $109 is too high a price point for quality. The thumb holes are unusable, as the sleeve length hits right at the wrist. For reference, I’m 5’8” and 135# and ordered a medium. I typically wear LLbean small and size 2/4 at most stores.

PERFECT!
Love this so much I bought a second one. Fits great. Arms long enough, hugs my neck perfectly for warmth. Love the longer zipper front for cooling capability. I'd consider this more of a light weight, than mid-weight but this will work perfect as a base or mid layer. Wish there was a white, cream, or light gray option!!

Base layer for people who feel cold all the time
A very warm base layer for people who are cold all the time and less active. I like that it maintains my body heat. I find it very expensive to buy, but maybe it has come to that with wool products. Luckily I used my bean bucks and got a good price.

snug and warm for the weight
This top has a nice long body stays tucked in without bulk. The shirt is noticeably warmer for about the same thickness vs. a competitor's shirt. The zipper garage is a welcome touch and the neck is cozy without feeling like I'm choking. I don't care for thumbholes, but I just ignore them. It's been great hiking and mtn biking so far. I'm 5'4", 123 lbs and the small is a great fit.

Wool!
I wish the item description made it more obvious that this is wool. It's going back... I didn't even take it out of the packaging, so cannot advise fit, but the computer insisted, so I used weird data.

Good
I like the shirt a lot. Fit is good. However I prefer the Cresta 1/4 zip that I bought 3 years ago. The material feels more stretchy. It may be a slightly lighter weight. It hasn’t been in stock so I decided to get this one. This one is OK. The other one is my favorite and my go to shirt for travel, hiking, work in a cold operating room.

So Nice I Bought Two
Feels soft, not scratchy, against my skin. Tailored yet not too tight or revealing. Nice enough to wear on its own. I'm always a Bean medium, and a medium in this has just enough room to layer over a tank or cami. Love the longer zipper for easy on/off.

So far, so good!
My T-zip top just arrived today. I am pleased with the quality and the fit. I am 5'5" and weigh approximately 135 pounds. I ordered the large. I tried it on two ways. First with just a bra underneath. The fit is comfortable and the wool is soft and did not itch. I then tried it on with a cotton LL Bean mock turtleneck underneath. It still fit comfortably and so should be good with a light layer underneath. The sleeves have the thumb hole opening at the end. I personally didn't need that option and probably won't use it but I think this is why some have complained that the sleeves are too long. I happen to have long arms so the length is fine but those with shorter arms may find the sleeve length problematic.
If there are any issues once I've worn the top a couple of times and then washed it, I will update. My plan is to wash this on my machine's wool cycle using Eucalan wool wash (which I swear by) and lay flat to dry.
If LLBean would offer this top in a winter white I would buy a second one in that color.

Cozy
Love it! I wore it on a recent fall trip to Glacier National Park and it was a perfect base layer. I love the long zipper for modulating temperature. The fit is just right for me ( small - 5'4" 125 lb) I appreciate the torso length (nothing worse than a short shirt!). The color is vibrant, more orange than pure red.

Love, love, love it
I wear merino wool tops--only merino wool, please--for figure skating. Not always easy to find. This top is my new favorite. It's just the right thickness, feels good next to my skin, covers what I want to cover, and fits well for exercise. The wool is naturally odor resistant. It washes well (on cold delicate, line dry). Yes, it's pricey, but I expect it will last me years. The only thing other thing I would ask for is a better color choice. The store was out of everything in my size but basic black.

Great weight for layering for outdoors
Bought for my wife with the hopes that she would wear it hiking and snowshoeing. She has been wearing this for other purposes too…not just outside.
