Covers Plus sized body well
Wanted a swim top that would cover bust and belly. This does both, also has an inner spandex liner from bust down to help slim and keeps the outer material from clinging to plus figure. Use lounging by pool and water aerobics.

Very flattering swim top.
This top has a perfect fit. It has good support with the built in bra. The drapping of the fabric around the mid section is very flattering. What I love most about this top is that it never rides up over my hips or abdomen. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and slimming - but not for me.
This is such a nice suit, but the shaping liner is way too tight for me. Not just a sizing issue, although that was part of it, slimming suits aren’t comfortable not me. Beachwear is basically a cover up while basking is the sun and sea.

Pregnant, miss?
The reviews said it made them look pregnant. I thought, not me! Well, it did. I returned it. You'd have to have the flattest belly to pull this one off. And if you did, you'd want a bikini!

Love it... but....
I bought 2 of these because they looked amazing, but after a couple wears, the outer layer of the suit stretches out until it is oddly long. I know that other cheaper bathing suits do this, but, I was hopeful that someting from LLBean would be better made.

I didn’t realize this suit basically has one-size-too-small shapewear as the lining… In my regular size, I could barely get this over my head and it didn’t even come close to having enough room for my chest. Cute prints but I can’t imagine how hot this would be with this level of compression. Yikes. For my taste, it’s also way too long. It cut me off at a weird spot and just looked really strange in terms of proportion. This one is definitely going back ASAP.

Shaping swimwear; great for mastectomies
At 60 yo and with a DMX with no recon, I actually like this. Sure, I need to lose 30 pounds and the first size I ordered was too small. Sized up and it’s workable. Because of the way the lining is sewed in, I was able to have the foam cups cut out and a few more pleats added for my very concave chest. It’s loose enough to be comfortable in. Not many suitable options for those with DMX and no recon in the world other than swim shirts which are fine, but more clingy. Also comes up high enough whether you have boobs or not. A very decent option for women who have had a mastectomy and are flat or lucky enough to still have a full chest.

Pardon me ma’am, is that a bustle?
After seeing all the reviews that mentioned that they looked pregnant in this suit, I had to laugh…those reviewers probably didn’t look at themselves in the mirror sideways. Much more bothersome in my opinion was the way it looked in back. It looks like I’m wearing a bustle. The same pleats/folds/gathers that cause the problems in the front also are in the back. I think it might be a problem with the nice quality material, which gathers into fuller bunches than a thinner fabric might. Or maybe it looks better when it’s wet, and the fabric hangs down instead of bunching outward. The print is nice, though, and it’s comfortable. I don’t usually swim where there are a lot of people around, and I’m kind of an old lady so people aren’t looking at me anyway, so I’m okay with it.

I was looking forward to getting my first tankini but was sorely disappointed. I ordered the same size as a 1 piece that I had previously gotten and fit from LLBean. However, the tankini was extremely small on me. I returned it and didn't dare order the next size up because I was skeptical that even 1 size up would fit.

I am 5 '10" and found this piece too long. The picture is misleading as it fell well below the swim bottom. The bust fit fine but the undergarment meant to hold in the tummy was too short compared to the length of the outer top and would ride up with movement. If I ordered a size up the bust would be too large.

Love it
Not expecting to love this as much as I do. The snug fitting lining underneath keeps my belly flat while the layer that you see looks cute. While this is new, I have yet to see how it does over time, but I bought a Ll Bean bathing suit at least 8 years ago and the elastic is still in perfect shape… no stretching or fading of the fabric after years of chlorinated pools!!! Worth the price which seemed high to me before I knew how long it was going to stay in my closet.
