Comfort meets texture in our new favorite layer. We chose a weight that's exceptionally versatile, so you can wear it anytime of year. Rugged cotton/polyester fabric is brushed inside for noticeable softness and a cozy feel.

Great sweatshirt.
I like this upscale sweatshirt. It is very comfortable and I appreciate the cotton content. The Tall size is a bit long though I like it for the sleeve length, as I have long arms (ape index +6").

Great Jacket
I am no fan of long-sleeved shirts, except on the coldest days, so I ordered this as an all-day jacket to keep on during the winter months. This jacket is suitably warm (for indoors) and very comfortable. Fabric is soft and feels great. Sizing was spot-on and it's fashionable to boot. I appreciate the full-zip option versus the quarter-zip.

Not durable, very dissapointed.
Lasted less than 2 years. The outer frabric along the forearms broke down on both sides, only from the rubbing of putting on a coat over it. Look horrible with the suffing sticking out. Very dissapointed.

Lacks structure and shape, at least in the brown
Seems to look sort of wilted, lacks structure. I bought the brown color for my husband and it actually looks a little sloppy and droopy on him. I don’t know if it’s the color or what. I tried on the women’s version of this jacket and it had a much better shape. He says it’s comfortable though.

Heavy Metal Zipper
Returned this item next day. The heavy metal (brass) zipper is uncomfortable and dangerous to anything it may come into contact with. Can't imagine it spinning around in the dryer!

Poor quality
I bought this item in the fall of 2023. The left sleeve has worn through at the elbow and cuff. The right sleeve is showing some wear. I have worn the item a fair amount in the time since I purchased it but it seems to have worn out very quickly for an LLBean product.

Very nice sweatshirt with zipper but wish it did not have a logo prominently in the front of the jacket. LLB is doing this more and more so I am buying my clothes elsewhere. Logos detract from the look of the jacket and do not add anything. I see other customers agree. Please give us the option of no logo!

Unattractive in the grey color
Whenever possible, now that we know about polyester microfibers in clothing, we try to strictly avoid fabrics made with polyester! Just like with plastic water bottles, billions of microfibers from things made with polyester get into the water, air we breathe, and food we eat. With the waste water from our washing machines these microfibers go to lakes, streams, and to the ocean. We breathe microfibers that get into the air from our polyester clothing. And there's more. I slipped up this time and bought this sweatshirt that is 20% polyester. Next time I'll pay more attention.
And a note to L.L. Bean: Please help us consumers avoid damaging the Earth - and our bodies - by quickly phasing out polyester (and acrylics?) in clothing and other items. I no longer will buy polyester whenever I have any sort of reasonable choice.
