The most versatile navy vest
I kept this very versatile and practical vest for myself. The gold zipper over the long smooth vest looks great. It goes with everything. But in winter I wear a jacket over my shirt and vest, to keep warm. I usually prefer zippered pockets, but this vest version has deep pockets, which I appreciate. Thank you!

Warm and comfortable.
Warm around the house. Comfortable. Bunches up at my neck when sitting because it is a bit long for me. The old style with a double zipper where I could open the zipper at the bottom when sitting works better for a short girl like me.

A great vest that could be even greater!
I love my mountain classic puffer jacket! The vest, though, seems to be exactly like the jacket but without sleeves. It would be a much more attractive vest if it were a bit fitted, if the seams went diagonally instead of straight across, and if the collar were not so high ... in other words, if it had a bit more style! The weight is wonderful, it's so light, and it's warm, too! It just needs to be more stylish.

Perfect Weight
I love this vest and wear it constantly. For my purposes, it is neither bulky nor heavy—just right. I've worn it over corduroy and flannel shirts and have been perfectly comfortable. It is particularly great to wear in the car. I generally don't zip it up because I like the looseness and I'm fairly busty. On the rare occasion that I want to zip, I only go up half-way (I can zip it all the way up if I wish to.).
I would definitely buy this vest again if there were more varied colors.

BRAND NAME ISN’T BEST BUY
I have several colorful, inexpensive vests and wanted a really thick, nice, black washable vest so of course, I looked to LL BEAN! This vest cost 3 times more than my wonderful, thick, well quilted “big box” store vests. Unfortunately, my inexpensive vests are perfect and the LL BEAN purchase was a waste of money. “Puffy”, it definitely isn’t and would only be comfortable for indoor wear. There isn’t enough insulation and the inner fabric isn’t even quilted.

I bought this to wear over LL. Bean T-shirts when I go out of our apartment for meals etc., since I live in a Seniors Apt. community. The gunmetal gray goes with everything, washes and comes out of the dryer looking good. The collar lays flat or will stand up if you zip it, metal zipper works smoothly. I also like that it’s not to puffy or fuzzy like fleece. I ordered xx-small, petite, for 5’2” - 104# and it’s a perfect fit for me.

Have been a loyal customer for 18 yrs. Why LLB,oh why would you cheapen your
pricey products with flashy labels? I have successfully removed chest labels from my 7(!)
airlight pullovers. After removing chest label & gently laundering this vest,small thread holes REMAIN.I can (just) live with the discrete labels found at the bottom of some LLB clothing,but this is so disappointing. I can see that I’m far from the first to complain about
labels - why is LLB not listening?

Versatile vest
I’m 5’8” and got an L. It’s roomy enough for layering and my big hips. Adds warmth but is not overly warm. I have the other color too and wear one or the other every day about 3/4 of the year in Oregon. Good zipper. A winner.

This vest is shaped like a triangle. My chest and hips are basically the same size, and this was TIGHT on top and flared out like a tent at the bottom. For someone with that body shape, it might be perfect, but it was not for me. It is very lightweight.
