Love the coat, go down a size
Just received my coat so I’ll probably post a follow-up after it gets me through January and February in Iowa, but I do like it. Things to know: if you’re on the lower end of the size range, order a size down. The shearling on top makes it bulky above the waist so if you’re looking for a flattering coat, this probably isn’t the one for you. Extra points for the double zipper. We’ll see how it holds up in the wind. 🤞🏻

LOVE THE COAT
In southern Alabama we get 3 to 4 day episodes of freezing temperatures with icy wind-chills throughout our relatively short winters. I could never find a coat to keep me warm while walking my dog. I called LLBean and ask for their warmest coat and bought it. It is amazing! It has kept me toasty. It is the warmest coat ever! I love it!

Comfy and Warm
Love this coat. It's very lightweight but keeps you cozy. I go between M and S, and the Small has plenty of room for layers underneath. The fleece lining is super soft and the cuffs are nice--don't have to mess with snaps or velcro. Very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend.

Not what I had hoped for
The sleeves were too tight even for my thin arms. If I had had any layers on more than the thin turtleneck that I was wearing the parker would have been too tight. The pockets were way too small for a winter coat and the white fleece lining left little tiny bits of fleece all over everything that I had on. Also, it needed a zipper that could be unzipped from the top and the bottom for comfort when sitting in the car.

Comfortable, warm, and stylish!
This coat is so comfortable and warm! It’s kind of like having a down comforter wrapped around you! Today the windchill was 20°, and when the wind blew, I felt nothing, I was warm as could be in my new coat. Beautiful Shapeless Coat
This coat looks so nice, but I was disappointed that it is not fitted at all in the waist. It looked like I was wearing a sleeping bag so I returned it. Also, the Sherpa lining only goes about halfway down inside the coat so it’s more for looks.

Warm and cozy
This is a very warm wind- and rain-resistant coat with a hood I can actually use! This is my daily dog walking coat for the winter and I tried 4 or 5 before settling on this one. Has great big pockets, I can comfortably zip it up over my lower face when a bitterly cold wind is blowing, and the hood is super soft and quiet inside, not to mention fits on my head without drooping over my whole face. (One other brand I tried had a 'swishy' hood lining that I found annoyingly noisy and the hood was so oversized it was unusable)
I am delighted with the utility of this coat. I also like the light grey, which is more visible for dusk and night time walking. The green is lovely in person, too, though.

Perfect Winter Coat

I love this coat. It is so warm and feels like wearing a hug! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the sherpa around my face seems like it might attract makeup, so next season maybe you can have it match the black coat. Otherwise, recommended.

Perfect coat for winter walks
I’m so glad I bought this coat as it has been keeping me toasty warm on cold and windy winter walks by the beach. The quality is great, the pockets hold a lot and the hood fits perfectly and is warm. The sizing is accurate, though I did size up since I wear bulky sweaters. All in all, I am incredibly happy with my purchase.

Looking for warmth and comfort, this is your coat!
I’m thrilled with my new Mountain Fleece Classic coat! It keeps me toasty warm when the temperatures are in the single digits, and the wind howls! The fleece lined hood is soft and comfortable and fits my best perfectly. I generally don’t like hooded coats, but this one is perfect! The side zippered closures provide extra room in the legs when sitting down. Definitely a wise purchase!

I’m 62 and love this coat! It’s down and very warm. I’m 5’6 and it’s not too long. The main things I love are the hood, which is the perfect size with a warm lining - the woolly lining, and how soft the coat is. I tried on many in other stores near me and if they seemed warm, they were often really stiff. The bit under your chin is not too hard/stiff either. I walk my dog four times a day in Michigan, it keeps me so much warmer than my old coat.

Warm and cozy
This is easily the warmest and most comfortable coat I have ever owned. It keeps me so toasty for early morning dog walks in the winter and it is incredibly comfortable for commuting. I have worn it in slightly wet weather and the shell does slightly wick the moisture which is a nice change from other down coats I have had. I’d avoid very wet weather in it, but overall an amazing buy! Runs a little big so great for layering though if you’re usually between sizes you’ll want to choose the smaller option.

Poor quality
I was very disappointed with this coat. The quality is poor and flimsy, and it provides no meaningful warmth, even when layered. I returned it immediately after trying It outside.
In addition, the design is unattractive on top of the lack of quality, which I would not mind if it was in any way warm. Overall, this coat did not meet my expectations in terms of warmth, quality, or appearance.

• Coat is lightweight
Cons:
• Flimsy, low-quality materials
• Does not provide warmth for extended outdoor use
• Design is unattractive
• Misleading marketing given price point
My first purchase from LL Bean and unfortunately my last. I’m still surprised at the poor quality as I was looking forward to this jacket and really needed a good one.
