Excellent Hardside Spinner
Stopped in at LL Bean before a two week trip to multiple locations in Alaska. Feb 2024. Needed a large spinner luggage bag to check on multiple flights. We had 4 different places to stay. Several times we pulled bags in the snow and ice. This bag did the job and came through with very minimal scuffing after passing through O’Hare twice. I definitely recommend this product. Note I have been a soft side owner for decades, so I was adjusting to the hardside. It get 5 stars.

Sturdy with room!
Bought this in October and used within 2 days of its arrival. I used it for a weekend trip that included testing it out with the airline. It did not bend or break. It had good room and I felt like I was able to keep my clothes sorted well. I have used more expensive luggage in the past and it has failed me. Hoping that this suitcase keeps performing well for years to come.

Flimsy, and no replacement parts available.
Made two extended trips with this luggage. Only the zippers hold the shells together, so buy some straps to keep the two sides from shifting or ripping apart. No replacement wheels or handles are available and the handles are very tight to the luggage and poorly reinforced. Made in Vietnam. I found luggage just as good at half the price at retail stores. Disappointed that L.L. Bean would sell such an inferior product.

May not work with some bags with "trolley sleeve"
I took this bag to S Korea for 6 weeks and it performed as expected on planes, trains, in cabs. Plenty of space--recommend buying a small handheld scale to watch the weight, though.The only downside is that the handle is wide-- too big to allow the "trolley sleeve" on my backpack and shoulder bags to slide over it. I rigged up a strap as a work-around.

A large suitcase!
I bought this for a two week trip. We were taking to Europe, and it worked very well. I was able to fit everything I needed into it, and left room for bringing souvenirs home. It was easy to maneuver, and the wheels worked very well. The reasons I am only giving it four stars are that it could use some interior mesh pockets, and it would be nice if there were elastic belts to put over your clothing in each of the half’s to hold them secure when it’s not totally full.

Clam shell design unwieldy, doesn't fit on luggage rack. Also side handle tight and difficult to grab onto when lifting suitcase, tricky bc fully packed it was heavy, empty almost 3 lbs heavier than XL rolling duffle.

Nice case, but too big to handle for us
Loved packing this for a trip with the zippered sections and easy to roll around. However, once we arrived at hotel, found it was too big to fit on any luggage rack and open. You could put it on the bed and deal with getting items, but had to move to floor to use when you needed the bed.

Did great on family trip to Europe
We took a week-long family trip to Europe. We knew we'd be walking and have a few subway/rail transit trips in addition to airport and plane. We took this and one medium - used compression bags so we had enough space. Suitcase was durable, maneuverable, and did great. Very happy with purchase. Highly recommend.

Doesn’t Hold Up to Travel
Love the suitcase but immediately upon first travel all the color scratched away, making it appear old and ragged. Mind you, I didn’t even fly with it and this was just vehicle travel. I imagine upon plane travel its outside shell will be destroyed.

Sturdy, solid, but limited use
The suitcase compartment is sturdy and practical. The major design flaw is that it's nearly impossible to secure the contents of the suitcase. The holes in the two zippers are so small I couldn't find a wire lock that could fit. Since I needed a suitcase that I could "check" on the plane I had to find an alternative.

Hardcase 30” Spinner Suitcase
Great value and good quality. Survived a packed trip to Rome. Suit and tuxedo on one side, casual clothes on the other. Everything stayed fresh and wrinkle-free. My only suggestion is to add some divider pockets, but packing cubes cured this shortcoming. Also, easy to spot at baggage claim.

Haven’t used it as of yet bought for a upcoming trip however upon review it seems to be L.L. Bean quality that I experienced over the last 30 years. Looking at the inside I like the zippered screens on both sides I would have liked to have seen a hang up loop for a suit but that is just my view.
