We're always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment and still bring customers great value. Our designers accomplished that mission with our waterproof Wildcat kids' winter jacket by sourcing recycled fabrics for the shell and insulation.

Cute jacket, not rugged
We purchased this jacket for our daughter at the beginning of the winter and it is cute, she gets a lot of compliments on it. The material is not durable, so if you have a kiddo who likes to actually play outside then it will wear easily. Normally we are able to pass winter jackets on when she outgrows them, we probably will not be able to with this one since it will likely wear out before she outgrows it.

Great jacket
My daughter loves the print & style. It’s a good, heavy shell. Has enough weight to it on moderately cold days; it’s roomy for layering on very cold days. I would say this runs larger than other LL Bean jackets we’ve tried in the same size. The sleeves are pretty long (for my kid). But we cuffed the sleeve once & that works.

Way too Big
This jacket appears to be good quality, but it is not true to size. I ordered a size 8 for my seven-year-old grandson, but it was so large on him that he would not have grown into it for years. I returned it and ordered a different style jacket that fit him perfectly. L. L.Bean should revise its size chart for this item.

Bring back the prior generation of this coat!
I'm truly dismayed. We loved this coat when we bought it 3 years ago. The one we received last month is super thin. I didn't think it would keep my son warm, but I let him go to school with it today, hoping maybe it was thin due to upgraded technology. No such luck. He complained about being freezing! The worst part of it is, I'm now at a complete loss as to what coat to buy him. This one is definitely being returned. What I really want is the old coat back!

Warm, runs big
Seems like it will be warm, even though it’s not thick.
Purchased to replace a size 4 Bean jacket in a discontinued model that was too small. Kid is 4, almost 5. On the taller side, but thin. 45 lbs.
The 5-6 size is quite large and will probably not fit well until next year. Hopefully, it will fit for several years. It will get used this winter, but won’t be car seat harness safe.

Great jacket!
We ski 2 or 3 times a year so I decided to splurge on this jacket for my kids a couple years ago. They LOVE them! It’s keeps them nice and warm on the mountain and it’s easy to add layers under if needed. The longer length keeps the snow and moisture out and the hood fits over a ski helmet nicely! It does run slightly big, but that’s helped it last and they are still in great shape! They will probably grow out of them this year and I’ll be looking for something new next year. If I could change anything, thumb holes would be nice and being able to secure the bottom of the jacket to the pants like some other ski jackets allow for extra protection from the elements would be nice.

Lightweight yet warm!
My almost 8 year old son loves this jacket. It’s not too heavy yet still very warm. Velcro at the cuffs help keep the snow and cold out! Waterproof. I ordered him a 10/12. He has a slightly tall average build.

Purchased this winter jacket for my 6-year-old son and we both couldn't be happier. He loves the design and how warm it keeps him. I love that it's durable, waterproof, and washes well. Nice Jacket
I purchased this for my daughter. Her current size 10/12 is getting a little snug so I sized up on this however runs a little large it may be a couple more years before it fits her. I love the colors. Looks like it will be warm & cozy for her.

Thin, not warm, ill fitting and merchandising is off. LL Bean has lost its way. We have been fans of LL Bean for decades and has always been our go to. Give this a miss. Your child will freeze in this jacket.

Sizing is Off
The sizing is totally bizarre on your coats this year. My super tall 8 year old fit the size 6/7 coat and the size 8 that we bought in the other coat was way too short....
