Our heaviest-weight flannel, now available in Slightly Fitted. Made of thick chamois fabric that's warmer than ordinary flannel, it's a shirt, light jacket and essential layer all in one.
When our founder, Leon Leonwood Bean, developed this shirt more than 90 years ago, durability was the goal. Then as now, the 100% cotton shirt is brushed for exceptional softness and warmth. Shirt with the length of a dress
This shirt is perfect except for one very import te detail - the length. I ended up returning it due to the length of the shirt going well past my butt. I’m 5’10” and bought a medium. None of my other LL Bean button down shirts run this long. Not sure why they made the cut this way. I hope to see improvements to the sizing of this shirt. If so, I would repurchase.

Current Chamois shirts not as good!
I've bought LL Bean Chamois shirts for years, however the shirt I just purchased in November, 2024 isn't as well made as my previous shirts, The fabric appears to be thinner which significantly detracts from the main selling point of LL Beans Chamois--i.e. heavy-weight flannel shirt that will last years. Sadly it appears LL Bean has went the way of many other brands and have made the decision to scale back the quality of their products in interest of preserving profit margins.

Excellent flannel shirt in appearance and comfort!
I love this flannel shirt. I had it eons ago and wore it out. Recently, I saw it again in same color/pattern. I was somewhat concerned that the texture/comfort would be different than the shirt I had a long time ago. But it turns out it seems to be as comfortable and made pretty much the same as previously and so I am quite satisfied with it.

Great flannel. Slightly too long for my taste.
Love the pattern. Fabric is warm and soft. Fit is true in the shoulders with just enough room in the chest. Only issue for me (5’ 10”) is the shirt tail is too long. I plan to have it hemmed in ~3”. If not for the length, I’d buy one or two more.

Warm and comfy. Very long.
These shirts are comfortable and warm, but they are pretty long so they a little sloppy unless you’re really tall. I’m 6’ and felt a little like I was wearing a guy who was 6’5”s clothes.

Not so Great!
I got this shirt for Christmas last year and loved it until I laundered it on cold cycle. It shrunk to a very tight fit. Even the arms are too short. The fabric developed minor pilling. It's been hanging in the closet ever since.

I can definitely recommend this shirt. It is soft and warm and is going to be a winter favorite. The material it is made from is very nice. It is heavier than what is typical for a flannel shirt which contributes to the overall feel.

Not the heavy chamois, but nice
When I ordered this, I was expecting another of the classic chamois shirts I like so well. This one isn’t it. It is, however, a very comfortable and soft flannel shirt. Advertising two very different products as ‘chamois’ is either an oversight or a mistake in judgement from this customer’s point of view. This, the three stars for what I was hoping to be another 5 star chamois shirt.
