Really warm when you need it.
Our house, like most in Mexico, doesn't have heating or cooling. It is located in the mountains and has a very temperate climate. However, it gets to the 50's at night in the winter and cold when we get up in the morning. So before the fireplace has warmed the house, this robe is a godsend. The robe is warm and the hood works great. It is the perfect robe for me

Warm as toast now that it’s tumbled. He likes it.
Took awhile before fleece became fluffy and able to preserve body heat. Ran through the clothes dryer several times to loosen the fibers.

warmer than expected
so long story short, this can insulate in a cold house better than expected. sometimes my bedroom can get down to 53 F (or lower) in cold weather. wearing this to bed or having it on while waking up makes it easier to get out of bed, because the warmth travels long enough to get some other clothes on.
very flowy, fabric stretches ever so slightly, and the fleece lining goes down the sleeves.
the hood covers my head well, and considering the one-size-fits-most doesn't fit me, that's definitely something

Way warmer than expected
I have an older variation of the rugby robe with the fleece, and while the other one is very gentle on the skin, this one is way warmer. Slept in it the past few nights and the window was partly open. Room temperature dropped to 46 degrees this morning, and the robe kept me warm enough to leave the bed with no issues. The seams on the inside are a bit bothersome at first, but i adapted quickly enough.
Anyways, the robe is super comfy and great for staying warm in a chilly house. Not recommended for outdoor use, but it can tolerate a bit.

Hooded Classic Robe
I bought this robe for my husband because he wore out the previous one that he inherited from my father. I haven’t given it to him yet since — it’s going to be his big Christmas gift so please don’t tell him. It’s the only robe I’ve found with a hood which is a big plus. I have no doubt that my husband will be very happy to receive it. I fully expect this robe to live up to the standards of the one he has been wearing (out!) for the past eight years.

Love it! Just one problem…
This is a fantastic robe. Warm, comfortable, breathable, well constructed, lined throughout the interior with faux shearling/fur. The sweatshirt-style cuffs are a great idea! The belt is wide and sewn down both sides so it won’t roll up or twist. The length is perfect. The pockets are even lined!
My complaint? Why did I have to buy a MEN’S bathrobe to get this kind of quality and thoughtful design?
Why are women’s bathrobes (and clothes in general) so badly and cheaply made, yet cost the same or more? Too wide, too-short sleeves that let cold air up them and get in the way. Cheap, thin materials. Smaller sizes assume short women under 5’ tall.
This robe (size Small) is a few inches too big and not cut for a female body (mainly in the shoulders), BUT for the benefits, and as long as I’ve been hunting for the perfect winter robe, I’ll take it.
Everything else is ridiculous, stuffed animal fake fur, paper-thin “flannel,” and horrible colors that never fit right anyway (just in different places). At least this is warm, comfortable and utilitarian. For starters, if I want the push the sleeves up, they STAY up.
This is a 5-star robe. Deducted one star simply for the fact that they don’t make an equivalent product cut/sized for women.

Perfect
Great robe all around. Wanted something for my husband that would be good for around the house if he’s chilly and/or to wear in the yard to take the dog out on cold mornings. This robe is not too thick but still warm and cozy. I was in between getting a Large or his normal XL with reviews, but since most said it runs big I got a large and it still is roomy but he’s not swimming in it.

Cozy. The robe is just right for those cold Colorado mornings. And the hood comes I handy as well. It is a bit too large, however. I'm 5'8" and 170 lbs. and I bought a Medium, Regular. Nevertheless, it is well made and comfortable. I like the neat blue color, too.

It’s okay, but not great
Really wish I had a chance to reconsider on this one and go with a rugby robe instead. It’s comfortable, but two things: 1) The Sherpa lining gives off kind of an old, worn vibe, but not in a cool way. More just sort of lame. The flannel inside would look better. 2) The belt loops are way too high. Not sure how it would fit on someone else’s body, but I am going to have to, at some point, sew new belt loops on just so they actually fit around my waist and not the middle of my stomach.

Great Robe
my husband had one of these robes for years and years. It was still his favorite even though after many many years showed signs of age. I ordered this robe as a replacement. It was not as "heavy" as the original but every bit as comfortable and warm. He loves the hood and the fit is true to size.
