Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible Lovely boot but couldn’t even get it on, and I don’t have high arches or fat feet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable These boots are very comfortable and warmer than I expected. I tried them out at 23 degrees with tights on. My feet were toasty warm all morning outdoors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Snow boots Great boot. that looks stunninĝ. a little too narrow for height of the boot

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just okay Okay but falls short in areas. As other reviewers mentioned, there is a hard piece against your heel that doesn’t feel great and the fit is tighter than expected (how the zipper doesn’t go all the way to the top also doesn’t give you much to work with when putting on and off.). I bought these on sale so happy with the price I paid for boots to take out the trash in snow, etc but wouldn’t wear these on a long walk or for travel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expected Better These will be good for snow blowing, which is why they were bought, but they are difficult to get on and surprisingly uncomfortable once successful. I found they ran a little small and was glad I ordered a half size too large, especially considering the difficulty getting them on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not pleased with quality Cheaply made Zipper did not go all the way to the top and was not contained. Difficult to put on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RoadReady What a great pair of winter snow boots. I drive buses for a living and while there somewhat bulky they cover all aspects of a great boot warmth, nonslip grip I espeacially love height to knee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy I got these Great fit, great look. I’ve had several pairs of winter boots and these are by far the best looking. They are a bit narrow, which is normal for me as I’ve wide feet. But they hold the boot in place, so I don’t mind. I’m tempted to get a second pair for when I wear out the first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these!! So comfortable, I wear them as often as I can. So many compliments and keep my feet dry & warm😊

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good if you have a high arch. I sent these boots back. I have a high arch and putting in and removing the boots was painful. They looked like something I would have like but I couldn’t keep them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MS I was looking for a good winter boot to wear to work on the days when I want to wear a skirt. These kept my legs and feet nice and warm! I walk over 2 miles to work and found them extremely comfortable. It's true they run a bit narrow. I wear a 6 1/2 or 7 and bought size 7; they fit fine over tights but if you want to wear a pair of warm socks, definitely order up a size. I'm giving these 4 stars because of the side zipper issue. My problem with the zipper is that the little lip rubbed against my leg while I walked - not painful or anything, just a bit annoying (and a bit rough on my tights, too.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Returning I really wanted to like these boots. Love the look and how tall they are. They run slightly narrow in my opinion, not a deal breaker. I agree with the others who complained about the zipper not going all the way up. This seems like a miss in the design, but also not a deal breaker. The reason I am returning is because there's a hard material sewn to the back ankle area, and that rubbed against my leg. It was very uncomfortable just walking around my house. Cannot imagine walking in these boots for an extended period of time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly designed Clearly a male designed these boots. A woman would have had the boot open and zipper go all the way to the top. This having the boot closed at the top makes it extremely difficult to push heel all the way down. Takes considerable effort! Only keeping them cause I really need snow boots now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good snow boots for long walks. Comfortable boots for long walks in the snow. I walked 4 miles wearing them after the snow fell. I gave them four stars, because they are hard to pull on, yet because they fit snuggly around the foot once you get them on, they are like a comfortable walking shoe. Warm at 30°, but I haven’t tried them in colder weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm snow boots Very warm boots. Boots fit as expected but were a little snug at the ankle when stepping into them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Boots I opened these boots this morning with four inches of snow on the driveway to contend with. They are snug getting into them but once on they feel like clouds. I spent two hours in them working on ice and snow. They caught me immediately from falling on an icy patch and after I was finished my feet and a tricky ankle of mine felt great! Thank you for this wonderful boot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoes, true to size! After reading some reviews, I was concerned that the boots would be small and narrow. I wear size 7.5 and ordered an 8. They fit perfectly; they are true to size - any problem putting them on. I have problems with plantar fasciitis, and they support my feet well. It's like wearing sneakers. Hopefully, they are warm because we live in Vermont, but they look like that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these Boots I had to make sure there was another pair of these boots that I could buy before writing this review because these are so much better than I anticipated. I fear the day they wear out. First you need to know I am wicked fussy about footwear. I have had frostbite repeatedly and need arch support. The frostbite history and circulation issues are so bad that I wear wool socks pretty much year round. My ankles are flexible but wobbly so I need boots that keep my ankles and lower leg stable. Here is what I love about these boots just please let my order go through before you all buy them out. They have great arch support and keep ankles stable. As long as I wear a medium or thick sock with them my foot stays put cradled and supported. I did read the reviews and sizing feedback. I usually wear size eight. My podiatrist evidently thinks I need more like an eight and a half with my narrow ankles and high instep. I am also wide across the part of the foot right before the toes. So I ordered a size nine and that was the way to go. My guess is the size nine is more like an eight and a half but I am not sure. I just know that this was the way to go for me. Because of the aforementioned these boots are incredibly comfortable for all day wear. I work in education and am on my feet a lot. Some reviews said they were hard to get on or off. I did find this to be true but only the first few times I wore them. I was scared they would be too tight on my calves. They fit just fine. These boots are warm and quite waterproof. There is something else really cool about them. I was on my feet all day recently. It was one of those mornings in the when it is below freezing but will be a good twenty degrees above freezing in the afternoon. That time of year most people with good circulation have put their boots away. My feet were so toasty warm when I got home that I assumed the boots would be damp inside from sweat and I would have to make sure they dried out for the next day. To my delight they were not the least bit damp inside. I have other boots that take days to dry out. Not these. Not sure if this happens to you but most boots end up digging into my achilles tendon and it is to the point where I do not want any footwear touching my achilles tendon if at all possible so I wear clog type shoes a lot. Boots have always been a challenge when it comes to holding my ankle somewhat but in the past. Some boots would dig in and rip away at my achilles tendon. As long as I wear socks that are medium weight or thicker and come up past my ankles I find that my foot is held totally stable and nothing rubs on my achilles. If I were to wear no show socks with them it would be a problem. But really who would do that. Not me. I wanted to write this review a while back. When I went to make sure I could order another pair first the size I need was sold out so I did not. Sorry. I know that is selfish of me. The fit is so amazingly good that L.L. Bean could honestly make these in chartreuse or some color I do not wear often and I honestly would not care. By the way the plum color is awesome. I was afraid it would clash with other darker reds like burgundy. Or that if I wore them with brown I was afraid they would scream out that they were plum. They do not. This plum color just basically morphs or adapts. If I wear brown the plum color will pass as a compatible dark reddish brown. If I wear purple or lavender or dusky rose or burgundy there is no clashing whatsoever. To be honest I do not exactly get how this magic works and I am not complaining. I guess if I wore them with lime leggings and a tangerine mini skirt I might be pushing the limits of what they work with. Since I do not have lime leggings or a tangerine mini skirt I do not have to worry about this. Where I live mud season seems to last forever. I meant to wear a grungy pair of older boots to wade through the mud to get to the car one day and forgot that I had these beauties on instead. I was late for work and could not go back to change my boots. I figured I would just have to clean them off when I got to work. There was virtually no mud on them. I know for sure I stepped in mud at least an inch or two deep. Now I wonder if there is an invisible shield or force field around these boots. Before the muddy part of the driveway are slate and marble slabs that make a walkway. They are very slippery when wet just like the halls in the building where I work when kids track in water or snow. The grip and traction on these boots is among the best that I have experienced. That is why I had to go make sure I could get another pair before writing this review. Years ago I made the mistake of not ordering a second pair of a different L.L. Bean boot, and I will not make that mistake again. It was the L.L. Bean version of an all sheepskin or shearling boot. Unlike the popular brand from down under the ones L.L. Bean made were really comfortable and had decent arch support. Last for those of you who care about fashion and receiving compliments on your attire please know that I have received many compliments on these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm with a good fit I was concerned about the fit since I'm between a 6 and a 7, but the fit (7) was perfect and my feet are warm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These are not snow boots Not waterproof, no traction in snow. They are warm but I wanted waterproof snow boots! These do not deliver on expectations, or function as advertised.
Date published: 2022-02-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sizing The size is correct but it’s a lot more narrow than I am used it. I never thought I have wide feet until I put these on. I would order again but I’d probably try a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit These are a snug fit and a little of a challenge to get on and off but the zipper helps. They are very warm and I feel safe walking on the snow and ice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these Kept my feet warm and dry in a foot of snow. They are also very comfortable to walk in.
Date published: 2022-01-26
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm but NOT waterproof Comfy, warm, but not waterproof. The placement of the side zipper allows slush to get inside the boot and make your foot wet. I'm more than disappointed that they are not waterproof as advertised.
