Size chart off
I followed the size chart for men’s 11 1/2 wide which indicated Large the socks were too large and appeared to not be contoured for my foot.

Superb quality and long-lasting wear
I have been buying these socks for years and really like them. I thought they would be too scratchy because of the wool but they are not. They keep my feet pretty warm unless it is very cold and I'm outside (my feet are naturally cold.) I don't wear them in the summer and they last for several winters. Holes in the toes are what wear out for me. The quality is superb as with most of LL Bean products! I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years.
