Smalls not made like mediums, size chart inaccurat
I checked the size chart and bought these in size medium, as indicated since I usually wear a women's size 9 or a mens size 7. They were way too big. I loved the design, with cushioning around the whole foot, since I have almost no soft tissue on my feet. The smalls only had cushioning on the soles, so they will not work for me. Why the dicrepency?

Sleepy Feet
My first pair of these were purchased for hiking. My next two pairs for skiing. But I have to admit that my last two pairs were bought for sleeping. I’ve discovered that they are oddly perfect for the perfect night’s rest. I only get into bed wearing socks if it is especially chilly (my feet cramp when they’re cold) but end up waking in the middle of the night to pull them off because I’ve gotten too hot. Oddly, these wool socks have been the solution! They keep my tootsies at the perfect temperature, cozy without becoming overheated. So, yeah, I needed enough socks for day and night. :)

Huge!
I bought these in medium, which are supposed to fit women size 6-10, and they are massive. I wear a size 9 shoe (40 EU), and the heel on these extends out past my heel. I’m so disappointed and wish I would’ve just spent the money buying bombas or something else. I trusted L.L. Bean with a sock assignment, and i won’t make that mistake again. Also—to charge for returns?!!! On items where the mistake is yours, not the customer’s? Makes me hesitant to take a chance on ANY more orders, since it seems they can’t even get sick sizing right.

My Everyday Sock Year-Round
I wear these socks year-round with my sneakers, house slippers, and hiking boots. I buy enough to do laundry once a week. They last about 2 years before the heels were through. The socks may seem a bit large at first, but after washing they will be smaller even with washing inside out on cold and low heat drying.

Great socks!
They have great cushioning and wick well. My feet are very comfortable in these, the toe seams are smooth & non-irritating and the height suits my mid-height hiking boots. My only con is that they are tighter around the ankle than I would like. I end up with indentations around my ankle after wearing them.
