Where is velcro feature?
Bought this for kayaking. I am disabled and, often, by the time i am out paddling, i find that my items are unreachable. That is the reason I bought this bag. It is great, it sits on my lap and is smaller than those large waterproof bags, but large enough to fit water bottle, iphone and even a light t-shirt.
However, the instructions card says it comes with a velcro feature, and according to another reviewer that is a mistake. It comes with these useless plastic strips?? If the bag should tilt over on my lap all my items would flip out, making this hip bag useless.
I plan to just sew velcro strips. This is the reason I give it a #3

Instruction card error
Received my bag and noticed that the instruction card on how to use the bag refers to some hook and loop (Velcro) material. I checked with an LL Bean service rep and was informed that this material is no longer used...the card just needs to have its instructions changed.
Instead of hook & loop, the bag has plastic strips at the top that I presume should be placed inside the bag opening when rolling the top closed. It seems to seal well that way.
I'm looking forward to using it hiking and next summer while kayaking.

Perfect for water sports
I bought this bag to wear while on my paddle board. It has been awesome! I’ve put a sweatshirt, cellphone, keys and still had room for more stuff. I deducted one star because it’s incredibly awkward to wear as a hip pack. I tried wearing it and that only lasted for about about 5 min. If felt like it was hanging off of my waist even when the strap was tight. I clip it to the front of my board and it works great. It is something that I will bring with me on every paddle. I highly recommend it for anyone doing water sports as long as they can clip it to something other than themselves.

Perfect for SUP

Great waterproof bag!
This is perfect for keeping my cell phone and other important things dry. I go on trails in Arkansas where I live. It rains a lot and I don’t have to worry about keeping my things dry. I take this every where. It is adjustable and the perfect size!
