Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea, but needed a tall man version for good. Short through the rise; are these available in tall sizes?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable high quality jeans The stretch briar jeans are extremely comfortable and fit very well. I have only worn them a few times in the woods during some preseason scouting but they are holding up very well. Briars and thorns do not stick!!! Can’t wait to get years of use out of these well made jeans!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great pair of brush pants These are exceptionally nice , I’ve worn many pairs of brush pants over the years some were nice indeed but none were like these , they fit like jeans and they stretch !!! , they definitely repel briars and water , they’re extremely well made and they look nice . They’re quiet to walk in , if you’re looking for a new pair of brush pants give these a try…..you won’t regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Briar Buster I love these pants! I went into my woods to clear vines and brush, and they really kept the thorns from poking me. Good to have something that works as advertised!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort of LL Bean Briar Pants I just love them. Only thing is zipper not low enough for me to pee in field, have to undo belt and unbutton pants but I wash them and put them right back on. Had your old wrangler, camo, brush pants but fabric broke down very quickly and had to duck tape from inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brush tough, office comfort Wears like a jean, tough as nails and warm but breathable. Love these pants! Been hunting in 32 degree to 55 degree temps and these pants with wind are perfect - with me sweating through my wicking layers, not my pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit for fitting over snake-proof boots Fit is very good, size 42 waist is a little large but it helps by increasing the size of the bottom 'cuff' area. The bottom of the legs need to be large enough to fit over snake-proof boots. And the slight stretch to that same area makes this a perfect solution!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and robust. They may run a tad large. Perfect for pheasant hunting in SD without snow. Even a tad heavy for warm weather but they protect and allow you to walk through corn fields etc without tearing up your legs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants, not just for hunting Great fitting pants, use them for cutting brush and trees this time of year because there are so many burrs out there and they don't stick to the material on the legs

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Early fall pheasant hunt made even more enjoyable Price was really good for a pair of briar resistant denim jeans. The fit…perfect. The hunt for pheasant…spectacular!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cordura faced Jeans/Pants This material is fine for amateur/weekend hunters that don't face a true test in adverse weather or thorny habitat. In fact, you would be FAR better off wearing basic jeans alone than this woven nylon material which gives you a false sense of protection. As a result, you end up compromising on your hunt with the resulting discomfort/injuries from weather and thorns. Woven nylon also has the inherent aspect of entrapping the very tips of thorns which once snared, snap off in this nylon - JUST the very tip of said thorns (ie. wild rose, hawthorn, cat-claw etc.). The more you walk, the more you end up with an itchy scratchy irritation where-ever this tip(s) gets lodged. By end-of-day, you end up with an itchy, red welt on your skin from this abrasion. Good luck trying to find that thorn tip! Yu can try, wash, rub the trousers but the next time you wear them....it's back! Like I said, this product in this and many adjacent products has been terribly misleading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product I love the product and have received several compliments on them in the short time that I have worn them. I only wish that they came in a size 35 waist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!! These pants are just simply awesome! True to fit, comfortable, warm with a layer underneath, cool in warmer weather, tough as nails, and to top if off they look good too! I wear them for dog training sessions, and bird hunting in some of the nastiest weather and terrain then hang them in the garage and throw them on for the next session and they look and fit like they are brand new. And I wear them a lot, twice a week. Great pants from great company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfortable These are more comfortable than the oldest pair of jeans I have. The weight is just right for early season or late season with long johns on. They do a great job of keeping thorns out but don't make a lot of noise that scares the birds. I couldn't be happier with these pants and will probably buy another pair to have on hand should they stop making them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from too low slung size 38-29: These are nice pants, but my initial trying/wearing immediately showed the waist to crotch length is too small.. There is little room for adjustment or for a thin legging underneath. Walking stairs, bending, step ladder activities in house (to judge fit) produced a constant, need of correction plumber's crack. The pants continually slid down in the back. Needed a good pant for the hunt season, but cannot accept the fact of constant pulling them up while hunting. One other note: inseam measured 30, not 29 as tagged

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Odd Sizing, great pants I wear a 34 inch waist in almost all pants with either a 30 or 32 inseam. However, I have larger thighs and butt, and sometimes that makes finding pants that fit difficult. Originally I ordered a 34x31 which should be my size, but they were REAL snug - so I returned them. When I ordered a 36x31 on a whim, they were a perfect fit. I’ve never bought a 36 waist before, not even when my legs were huge when I played college football. I love the fit and quality of these jeans, but they run small. I tried these on with the Upland Briar Pants (trying to figure out which to buy), and I felt the 34x31 (in those pants) were larger than the 36x31 in these pants. They’re super comfortable and durable. Way more comfortable than any upland pant I’ve ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wonderful If you are like me, you rely on honest reviews. Sometimes I question them, especially when they are 5 stars. I bought these pants pre-season and tried them on a couple of times before I took them into the field. I have owned at least 6 pair of similar pants in other brands and all of them are superior to wearing chaps and regular jeans, but no pair I have ever owned compare to these. In full disclosure, LL Bean pants tend to fit me really well. I generally wear a 36 or 38 x 29 and LL Bean has that size. They fit, especially the rise, is a great fit for me. With the gusset in the crotch and and the stretch fabric, these are now my favorite field pants. I have spent three weeks grouse hunting, and nothing compares, at twice the price of competitive brands they are worth it. I was hesitant to purchase, but ordering a second pair for rainy and muddy days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another LL Bean Home run Excellent field pants. I size up for layering so a 36 is a bit loose. I wear these often in the field. They feel heavy but they are not; very light feeling, excellent stretch, very very comfortable. No problems going through the brush, crawling around looking for my missed arrows.....36 length would be nice but it’s not a game stopper....nicely done Bean!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of a kind As a home landscaper, I've often wondered what a pair of pants might be that had reinforced knees, were water resistant and comfortable. Carhartt makes something with kneepads which is pretty neat, but these pants by LL Bean also serve more of a purpose by deflecting brush quite well, and have that materials fully around the lower leg. They are noisy, so you won't sneak up on any game, but this Cordura denim is great stuff, no question a very different material than normal denim. The workmanship is very good and I'd expect them to hold up many years with average wear. I wish they had come in a 32/30 as the 31 is just a bit long unless I wear them with heavy boots. Not a deal breaker in any way, these are unique in their class.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fit, comfortable. Nice field pant. Comfortable walking, bending, sitting. I think I can skip heavy chaps in most field situations, but maybe not in heavy grouse coverts - but I’ll give them a try later in the season. Don’t yet know how they will handle heavy dew, light snow on bushes.
