Good vest
As another reviewer wrote, this vest runs a little smaller (in the Plus sizes). I usually wear an XL in Bean's jackets and vests. I sized up so I could layer underneath (from an XL to a size 1X) and it is snug. I can comfortably zip it with light layers but it won't fit a heavy sweatshirt or sweater layer. I bought Navy, a very nice color that certainly flatters the figure.

Fantastic vest, questionable pricing
Love this vest. Here in Colorado where the temp is cold but the sun is intense, this vest is a great layering piece. It is warm enough to wear on its own in cool weather, or under a jacket when it's colder, but not too hot for either purpose. It's designed better than the fancy-outdoor-brand vest it replaced, especially at the neck and collar (also fleece lined), and it's half the price. Super soft lining, comfortable, fits well, pockets are in the right place. Long enough to prevent a cold draft at the waist or back. Just exactly what I wanted.
All of that said, as another reviewer noted, the physical tag on the vest said $99, instead of the current $120. If you have to raise prices, at least communicate it consistently.

Good quality as always, but the pricing…
I don’t usually write reviews. I love LLBean for outerwear, and have many jackets, vests, pullovers etc…
The pricing increase on this vest was a bit of a downer, especially after paying $120.00 for it, and then upon receiving the vest, it’s still tagged @ $99.00 liked they used to be for a long time. I understand some increases I guess, but at least take the time to retag your inventory? I don’t know… maybe that’s just me.

Petite size fits my short apple shaped body. Vest is comfortable and I have room to add an extra layer.

Great Vest — But Why the Sudden Price Increase?

My Favorite Vest
I love that this vest is just right on a chilly day and that it's thin enough to wear under another coat when it's really cold. I have more than one and I wear mine under my Primaloft Jacket. This combo is nice and warm and does a good job of stopping wind, which is important where I live. I have a size 38C bust and the medium is snug so I can only wear a thin layer underneath. I have it in large for times when I want to wear it with something that's a little more bulky.

I ordered this vest to use under my LL Bean rain jacket while traveling. The fit is perfect and I believe it is going to be the perfect extra layer for the cool spring season. I love the soft fleece, especially around the high collar and two hand pockets are a nice size.
