excellent travel pack
I needed this for my trip to Providence RI from Madison WI. It is roomy and has good pockets with great access for iPad, books and chargers. I was gone for 3 nights and I had enough room for my clothing and gear. It fits well on a small aircraft in the overhead bin. I highly recommend this travel pack. It is very comfortable to wear and move in the airport.

Great for Travel
I used this backpack on a trip with several flights on small planes. It was very comfortable to carry around airports. I did find that it was a bit of a squish to put it under the seats of smaller planes and did gate check it a couple of times (I'm short and don't like to use overhead bins) but it qualified as a carry-on on all my flights. It fits a lot of stuff and it is easy to access what you put into it. I was very happy with it!

Love this pack
Bought this pack as an emergency go bag. Am very impressed with the amount of room and compartments in it. Plenty of room for clothing and other essentials. The Ability to either carry it with the strap or use it as a backpack, makes it very universal. I don’t travel much anymore, but if I did, this would definitely be my go to bag.

Perfect size bag

Love this bag!
We bought 3 of these ( for myself, my husband, and our oldest daughter- age 12) for a 2 week trip to Italy last summer. We took no other luggage, and these worked beautifully. I’m about to purchase another one for our younger daughter for an upcoming trip to Switzerland.

Difficult Zippers
I returned this bag because the zippers were too difficult to move around the corners of the bag. The bottom panel stuck out awkwardly from the rest of the bag. I'm using a regular 40L backpack for my travels.

It's a suitcase without wheels
I really wanted to love this and I was so excited to use it on an upcoming trip, but it's not truly a travel backpack--it's a carry-on suitcase with straps instead of wheels. The sides and bottom are hard, like a suitcase with fabric over it, so it doesn't flex at all--it's a box. There's no way you're getting this into a smaller space like you can with a regular backpack (it's shipped in an enormous box because there's no way to get it into a smaller one--the giant box son the porch was my first "uh oh") and it feels like it's just going to look terrible in no time as people try to jam around it in carryon bins, shuttles, etc.--once it's bent, it's bent. And as others have said, the zippers are tough on the corners, just like a suitcase.
If you're looking for a spinner bag you can wear, this will be perfect. If you're looking for a travel backpack to toss around, this isn't even close. Returning it and the search goes on.

Great Travel Backpack
I love this backpack. I used it for a seven day Peru trip. It held almost everything I needed. It was easy to carry and comfortable on my back. And I am a 64 year old woman who rarely exercises. It looks great. I love the smaller pocket on top for easy access of needed items and the large interior pocket was great for my clothes. I did use packing cubes. Really liked that it didn't have a lot of pockets. However, as I read in a previous post when shopping, a water bottle pouch would be a great addition. Nevertheless, it worked great and look forward to using it on my next adventure.

The only way to go !
I have an LLBean travel pack I bought maybe 10 years ago. I've just returned from a powerlifting meet with it as my 'gear bag'. It's been hiking in the Dolemite, Itally; all over Europe, NZ and Australia. This post is both to sing it's virtues and condemn roller board bags - IF you plan anything more than airport - cab - hotel - tourist bus. Roller boards are fine trundling through airports, but sooner or latter you'll have to go to a bus station a mile away along cracked sidewalks and cobble stones; or several flights of stairs in a subway terminal. Bump Bump, Bang Bang - with a roller board it's into 'if'' a wheel comes off, but 'WHEN'. All the rough streets and stairs are no problem with this bag on your back. Also, wheels get caught in luggage handling equipment. Second point about this bag relative to more 'rucksack' top loading bags, its handy to be able to pack flat. Size: Plenty for indefinite travel providing your not backpacking in cold weather or some other high gear activity My LLBean travel bag like this always goes in the overhead. IF it doesn't seem like enough room for a month in Europe check out 'how to pack light' - Rick Steves, and others have gobs of YouTubes. Again, if you're a mile away, or have to climb many flights of stairs (and you will face both situations) unnecessary weight is your 'Trip Spoiler'. Go Light - Go with Pack Straps - Go flat pack. Ohhh, and its great to hold my Chromebook. My only problem with 5 stars is not enough :}

Great carry-on bag
I purchased this travel pack to use on trips where I would be flying and I didn’t want to have to roll two pieces of luggage. It served as my carry-on bag on the plane on a recent trip. This pack has well-designed storage areas and the straps and waist belt can be tucked in. It is sturdy and easy to carry. I just wish it had an outside pocket for a water bottle.

Great for travel
I used it for a 6 day trip that I totally over packed for and everything fit great! It was comfortable to wear, the chest and waist straps took pressure off the shoulders. I’m about 5’3”. I had no issues with zipper as some others reviews seemed to. I would recommend if if like having hands free when you travel.

I loved this bag when I ordered it online but it arrived ripped - inspect carefully before you remove the tags. I am not able to return and order a new one as suggested by customer service because I am in a time crunch. Disappointed because otherwise this bag is perfect!

Sturdy weekender backpack fills the bill
Bought it for international carryon. Stuffed it and it still weighed less than 17.7# allowed. Very comfortable to wear. I like that it had a strap around waist for support. Put papers for check-in etc in outside compartment. Put all my electronics cords in small compartment at top of bag for easy access. Plenty of room for shoes and clothes in remaining 2 compartments. It did not really stand up by itself even though the bottom is hard.

Not a good idea
This is like strapping a suitcase on your back. The sides are stiff like a suitcase. And the inside is divided into two compartments that zipper shut with inside flaps. Why?
