Good for rain, not for snow
These boots are waterproof and have excellent traction, so they're good for walking around in rainy, muddy weather. But they're not for tramping in the snow. They're not warm. The leather portion has no insulation at all, and the foot portion has a lining that's not very warm. Also, the leather looks and feels cheap, like it's painted--not rugged or oiled. On sale, it's fine, but it's more a fashion statement than a rugged boot that'll last for many years.

Went a full size down, they fit great with a pair of ski socks or thicker socks. The insulation has kept my feet warm so far!

Disappointing.
This boot was a bit disappointing. It replaces a felt lined boot that had insulation to the top of the boot. This boot has no insulation above the dark brown area where your foot is. The insulation is very thin. It fits well and has room for a very thick sock. It's only October so I haven't had a chance in try it out in cold weather. Using it to chase my dog in the early morning ours with lots of dew on the ground, the boot feels stable. it will take a while to break in the upper leather, which as I noted above is completely uninsulated is just a leather top. More to come when it gets cold and snowy.

Great boots
Great boots that are warm enough with thick socks for all sorts of outdoor adventures. Fit normal to narrow feet we'll and are comfortable for hiking. Love em so far! Sizing is unique - I wear an 11 in running shoes but a 9 in these and have adequate room for socks.

Just not for me...
I really wanted to like these boots. Unfortunately, the fit was just not for me. The insulation was also a factor. The boots aren't warm. I'm going to donate them to our donation closet at work.
