Must have winter hiking pants
These are must have cold weather hiking pants. The pockets aren't pronounced and bulky like some other cargo/hiking pants. The color is a little more blue than the picture shows but I love them. I have another pair that is now over two years old and they have held up quite nicely.

These Are Great Pants
Bought these pants in the Spring and they are great. Fit is comfortable and true to size, and warm. They block wind and rain. Quality materials and construction. Plenty of deep pockets. So good for hiking and room for a bottom base layer for winter here in the Rocky Mountains.

Great Pants!
I have several pairs of these unlined pants in the natural fit and wanted a pair of the lined pants. The natural fit in my regular waist size (38) is perfect, but the lined pants only come in standard fit. I also have several pairs of Cresta Hiking Shorts which only come in standard fit and I am finding a tad tight so have been ordering these now in the next size up (40). My ordering dilemma was if I should order these standard fit pants in a 38 or 40. I took a chance and ordered in size 40 and the fit was perfect. This may be a personal preference as I like my pants and shorts with a lot of room, but if you are like me, I recommend sizing up in the standard fit. I am totally satisfied,,,Cresta Hiking Shorts in summer, pants in spring and fall and lined pants in winter. I wear nothing else!

Husband loves these pants he has them in all colors without the fleece, but since they didn't have it in black he had to get it with fleece. He still loves it and uses it often in cooler weather.

Marked incorrect
I have a 30 inch waist. I ordered a pair of the pants and the waist was at least 2 inches too big. I sent them back and ordered another pair thinking that the first pair was miss marked. The second pair was also way too big in the waist. I’m very disappointed because I liked the pants but it’s too bad someone can’t measure

Comfortable, Durable and Warm Winter Pants
The pants provide needed warmth when it is cold outside and are very comfortable to wear. My phone fits well in the zippered leg pocket so they provide for my practical needs well. The first pair I purchased a few years ago show little wear and tear, so they have been a good investment. I bought a 2nd pair with a smaller waist size because the 1st pair waist was too big. I get the impression that the actual waist size is larger than the stated waist size. As with any clothing, test fit before buying if possible.
It is unfortunate that the Kansas City area L.L. Bean store closed recently, so it will not be possible for me to test fit L.L. Bean clothing prior to purchase.

Warm and comfortable but sized too big
I've worn these on several hikes in cold temperatures and they're warm and comfortable. However, I ordered a size 32" waist but they fit me like a 34". I need a belt to keep them on. Most of my other pants and jeans, including a different brand non-fleece-lined pair of hiking pants are 32" and fit me perfect.

incredibly durable!
These pants are warm, comfortable, and good looking. On top of all that, they are incredibly durable. I crashed my bike at pretty high speed, sliding for ~20 feet on pavement. I assumed the pants would be damaged, but they still look perfect.

I bought a pair of these pants ~4 years ago, and I love them. I ordered the exact same size again this year because I wanted another pair. But they changed the sizing and fit. A 34 waist fit perfectly before, but the new 34 waist is HUGE on me. I haven't shrunk. :)
I ordered a 33 waist, and it fits nicely, but still slightly bigger than my 34.
ORDER A SIZE SMALLER than all your other pants.
