Great light - dimmer bag is good feature!
Super bright, with a good selection of levels to pick. Seems sturdy enough, well protected. The dimmer bag helps a lot. I didn't see anything on the packaging mentioning where the dimmer bag (carrying bag) was, so be sure to open the card box at the bottom, to find the bag. I think one reviewer mentioned not getting one, and I think they may not have seen it tucked under the cardboard flap.

Best lantern I’ve ever owned…
This lantern is sturdy and puts out phenomenal light even on low. The diffuser bag makes the light a soft glow. 795 hours on low. That’s SIXTY-SIX DAYS of using it twelve hours a day on low. This is exactly the kind of thing that will help stop landfill waste and help us fight climate change. Quality items built to last. Even the battery usage is 20 times my other lanterns. I’m beyond happy and impressed. I’m buying two more next month to give as presents.

Sturdy little lantern

This small lantern is big on light! Has 3 brightness settings. It is very light and be carried, hung by its handle or placed on a table. We keep these lanterns handy in our home for power outages. Great buy!

This lantern is GREAT!!!
I have two of these lanterns that I bought for use during power outages. Sadly I have had the need for them recently. But these lanterns are fantastic!! I use them on low power, enough to light a room, and I just leave them inside the light diffusing bag. The LEDs produce no heat whatsoever. Super easy to put where you need them, and the 3 power modes are just what's needed.

Brightest lantern I ever owned - recommend!
This lantern is so bright (the brightest light I ever owned in previous lanterns) exactly what I need! Only needs 3 D-cell batteries and time will tell if it really stays lit for more that 24 hours? For now I definitely recommend this lantern!

Light up the enclosed playhouse safely

Handy lantern - please move the switch position
I like that there are 3 intensity settings on the lantern. The switch for shutting on/off the light is a bit hard to find in the dark, such as when walking our dog at night, & thus the switch is awkward to try to shut off. I wish it were in a different position.

Great Lantern
Great Lantern , This is a very handy lantern . I already had one , but needed another .Living in New England , our winters can be tough . We lose power a lot , so it is good to have this on hand . L.L.Bean Trailblazer 400 Lantern
First, I read the reviews before ordering and the INSTRUCTIONS are on the side of the BOX. But were not needed by us. 3-D-size batteries you will need. They fit into the bottom after removing the screw bottom cover. Where you will find the 2nd set of INSTRUCTIONS on the bottom cover. WOW, lots of good light, and looks to be watertight but "NOT" for underwater usage I'm sure. This light can be hung almost anywhere and is very safe with 400 Lums BRIGHT LIGHT with four settings HIGH, Medium, Low, and OFF. On box reads on High will last 26 hours, and low setting 795 hours. Low will be all we need for occasional passing Florida thunderstorms and while camping. The light has an Optical Diffuser to put the light out into 360 degrees circle from the light. Looks good and is easy for me to handle working inside and out around the RV (Recreational Vehicle) while hooking up the tow vehicle and electrical and water lines. Great for the Grandchildren to play in the Florida room under the makeshift tent and write in their coloring books, and write messages with friends. Very happy with my new "L.L.Bean Trailblazer 400 Lantern." Thanks.

Great granddaughter gift
Bought this lantern for my granddaughter, and love how sturdy and semi-indestructible it is. The light it puts out is amazing on high beam, but will be great for campfires or camping on the lower beams as well.
